For Someone Special

Good morning and thank you so much for coming to visit I'll go put my virtual kettle on!  Today sees the start of a brand new challenge at The Paper Shelter and the theme this week is For Someone Special.  It is my daughter's birthday next week so I think I shall be giving her this just need to make a box for it.

I have used the super cute Japanese Cute Doll from The Paper Shelter which is available here. As always with The Paper Shelter images you get a coloured version and one to colour yourself as well as digital paper - brilliant value!  I coloured this cutie with my Copics and then cut her out.  The papers I have had for years and years probably off QVC, I thought they were perfect for the image.  I embossed the panel behind the image with Crafts Concepts Embossing Folder Jo's Circles but first I applied Faded Jeans DI to it.  The mat behind is Spellbinders Fleur De Lis Rectangles. I used Spellbinders Labels 18 to cut and mat the sentiment which I did on my pc.  The flowers were made using Dienamics Mini Royal Roses, Memory Box Small Pinwheel Posie, Cheery Lynn Shasta Daisy and Build a Flower #1.  The butterfly is Memory Box Isabella Butterfly and has been stamped using Faded Jeans DI.  I must say I really enjoyed making this card and I am quite enjoying putting flowers on my cards at the moment.  Here is another view:

As usual there is a fabulous prize up for the lucky winner:

So please pop over to The Paper Shelter Challenge for some more inspiration from the fabulously talented DT!

We had a successful day yesterday managed to find the perfect material for my curtains in the first shop!! So they are ordered and will take about 4 weeks just in time for Christmas!  Same with the carpets providing the manufacturers have it in stock it should be here for Christmas.  The decorator is coming 6th December so I have everything crossed that there will be no delays and I will have a lovely new lounge and brand new hall stairs and landing carpet in time for Christmas.  Today I am off with my friend to Trafford for some Christmas Shopping and lunch although we never seem to get much shopping done but I am determined today!

Thank you so much for looking and any comments you may leave, I really appreciate them. See you tomorrow, take care xx

Gorgeous! What a beautiful image and a fabulous layout. Little Miss C has a Japanese girl in her class and they have playdates together. The Mum has taught them how to do Origami...I should get this image for a card for her!
