Halloween at The Paper Shelter

Good morning, hope you are well and here's a big hug if you aren't! Today sees the start of a new challenge at The Paper Shelter.  The theme this week is Halloween and I have made a card:

This beauty is called Witching Hour and lives here. I coloured her with my Copics and she took an age to colour!  I added some Glossy Accents to the glass flask, brooch, her eyes and the snake's eyes. I used Go Kreate XL No 1 frames for the card shape and mat.  The sentiment is computer generated and cut out using Spellbinders Ribbon Banners.  The flowers are from Wild Orchid and I coloured the purple ones with my Copics. The paper you can just see is Basic Grey Marjolaine.  I edged around the image with Weathered Wood DI and used a corner rounder punch on the corners.  I also added some black webbed ribbon and a plastic spider from Home Bargains.

As usual there is a fabulous prize for the lucky winner:

Challenges I would like to enter:

Dream Valley - Halloween
Melonheadz - Lots of Layers
Ppinkydolls - Anything Goes or Halloween
Squigglefly - Halloween or Fall

Thank you so much for calling and the lovely comments you leave - much appreciated.  My daughter and Rowan are coming round shortly so must dash!!

Spirit of Christmas

Hello there hope you have had a good weekend and all ready for the week ahead.  I have been helping my sister pack her house as she is moving this week - geez she has a lot of stuff!

Today I am sharing a card made with one of Beccy's new releases for October called The Spirit of Christmas:

Its such a lovely image with the pretty script behind it.  I have coloured with my Copics and added some Liquid Pearls to the centres.  The paper was lying around loose so I have no idea of where it came from but loved the soft shade of green.  Quite a simple card, I made a frame by using Spellbinders rectangle dies and the tag is also a Spellbinder but I don't think its made anymore.  The sentiment comes with the image and I added a little star gem to the i in Christmas.

A little close up of the image:

Here is what the set looks like:

You get all the images and sentiments, the images come both coloured and plain for you to colour in. They are available here.

Challenges I would like to enter:

Fairytale Stamper - Something New (the image and sentiment)
Crafty Hazelnut's Christmas Challenge - Use Something Forgotten/Not Used (Mine is the paper)
Sister Act - Anything Goes

That's all from me for today. Thank you so much for looking and the lovely comments - all appreciated as I know how time consuming it is.  Take care xx

Delightful Thursday

Hello there and hope your week is going well.  I can't believe we are more than halfway through October now!  As it is Thursday its time to take our trip over to the Digital Delights Blog to see some wonderful creations by the Design Team.  Here is my card:

This cute little ghost is called Ghostly Greetings and is available here. His banner is blank so I added the Boo before printing him out.  I coloured him with my Copics and used Dienamics to cut him out and for the mat.  The papers are Monsters on the Loose by H Roselli from the Sweet Shoppe, it was a warm day when I made this card and I got too hot and opened the Velux window above where I was working.  I finished the card and then went downstairs to make dinner and then it started raining.  The raindrops came in and splashed the paper discolouring it slightly but I think it looks quite effective (that's my excuse anyway because I wasn't going to start all over again). The clouds and bats are Memory Box die.  I have used lots of Martha Stewart purple and black glitter on the clouds, bats and mat behind the image.

Don't forget to take a look at all the other DT creations on the Digital Delights Blog and we also have a new challenge starting today at Delightful Challenges.  The theme this week is to use your favourite colour with the winner winning two six marker sets of Spectrum Noirs!!

Challenges I would like to enter:

Simon Says Stamp - Colours
Creative Card Crew - Black Cardstock
Cutie Pie Challenge - Perfectly Purple and Cute
Corrosive Challenge - Halloween

Thank you so much for looking today and your lovely comments. I hope you enjoy the rest of your day,

Delightful Thursday

Hello and its that time of the week again when we go over to the Digital Delights Blog to see some of the fabulous work by the Design Team to showcase Wendy's brilliant images.  Here is my offering:

I used Steampunk Tasha which is available here and she has been coloured with my Copics. The ticket sentiment is from the Ticket Sentiment Set which is available here, there is a blank ticket in the set for you to add your own sentiment which is what I did and I then distressed it with some Distress Inks. The papers are Coredinations, Prima Engraver and I have used some Spellbinders foils for some of the gears.  I embossed the circle behind with a Tim Holtz gear embossing folder and then sanded it to show the core.  The large flower is a Prima flower as is the butterfly.  The smaller flowers have been made with Cheery Lynn Small, Medium and Large Rose dies.  The gears are a a Cheery Lynn and I have used Cheery Lynn Mini Pearl Circle Doily behind the gear embossed circle.

Shabby Chic

Hello there. Well I am partied out! We had a fabulous three days of celebrations and now things are returning to normal.  My daughter and Rowan are coming over today I am so looking forward to seeing them (only been Sunday since I last saw them).

There is a new challenge starting today at The Paper Shelter and our theme this week is Shabby Chic.  Whenever I think of Shabby Chic I think of paper distressing, Frantage and pale colours so that's what I did:

Now this adorable Mademoiselle is called Si Belle and can be found here. I coloured her with my Copics and have added some Frantage around the edges, on the pearl button and on the MB Eiffel Tower die cut.  The papers are MME Paris and Co.  I used Marianne die for the mat for the image.  The sentiment is Waltzing Mouse 'Fancy Phrases' which also comes with the frame I stamped around it then used Spellbinders Fancy Tags (don't think you can get these anymore) to cut it out.

As usual there is a fabulous prize up for the lucky winner:

Welcome to my blog so lovely to see you here!  I have scheduled this so fingers crossed.  I am delighted to say that I am on the lovely Beccy's Design Team for Beccy's Place fabulous digital images.  Beccy has four new releases out and for my first card I have used an image from The Great Jack Set.

I have coloured it with my Copics and gone for a fairly simple design. I used Distress Inks on some card then cut the leaves out using Spellbinders dies.  I clear embossed them and heat set.

This is a great set look what you get:
