Anything Goes at Hobbycutz
Well here I am with my last DT card for 2013 (well sort of). Today over at Hobbycutz Challenge we have a fabulous challenge to finish the year of - Anything Goes!! Here is my card:
I used a fabulous Bildamalarna image and coloured her with Copics and Stickles. The papers are Silent Night by First Edition. For the embossed panel on the left I swiped my embossing folder with Versamark and then ran it through to emboss the card, then I sprinkled silver Embossing Powder over it and heat set it. The ribbon is Martha Stewart and I put a sparkler in the middle. The swirl is one of the fabulous lasercuts from Hobbycutz which I painted and then used silver Embossing Powder on.
I hope you can join in the challenge at there are loads of prizes up for grabs, go check out the challenge here. Here is another view:
This is late should have been posted this morning so sorry Kobie but I have had my gorgeous Grandsons and Son here for the weekend so I have had no time for anything! They have gone back now, here is a picture I took of them with the dancing snowmen yesterday:
Harrison just turned 3 in October and Rafe was 1 last week!
Thank you so much for looking! Take care xx

Delightful Thursday
Good morning to you, hope you are all well and if not I wish you a very speedy recovery! Today is the last Delightful Thursday of the year over at Digital Delights Blog and the DT have some fabulous cards for you to see. Here is mine:
I have used Pickles the Penguin which is available to purchase here. I coloured Pickles with my Copics and Stickles. The background paper is Nitwits and I free cut some snowy mounds with Centura Pearl and Glitter card. The Santa and sleigh are a Cheery Lynn die. Quite a simple card but it looks real cute in real life.
Please pop over to Digital Delights Blog to see the rest of the DT work there are some fabulous cards on show. And don't forget the challenge over at Delightful Challenges where the theme this week is Celebrations you would be in with the chance to win a $15 gift voucher for Scrapyland!
Well I got my cake marzipaned yesterday:
And I also made Mary Berry's Mincemeat Tray Bake which has homemade mincemeat and a struesal topping, it was on The British Bake Off Christmas Special Tuesday night:
For some reason it has come out yellow on the picture but its a lovely golden brown IRL, I can thoroughly recommend it, it tastes delicious and I have frozen it for over Christmas. The recipe is here.
Well I have to do my menus today because I am starting my food shopping tomorrow so I will have to know what to get lol! Need to do that this morning because I am out for lunch with my Aunt and my Cousin who has come over from Yorkshire. Have a wonderful day and thank you so much for calling! Take care xx

ANYTHING GOES
Nice and easy and here is what I did:
I have used the irresistible Christmas Candy Fairy from The Paper Shelter coloured with Copics and plenty of Star Dust Stickles. I cut the milk box carton out on my Cameo and added some acetate to the window to stop the chocolates falling out into my mouth! I cut the image out with Spellbinders Labels Eight and the holly is a CC Designs die. The letters are by Trimcraft and have been painted with Martha Stewart Acrylic Paint. The ribbon is from The Ribbon Girl. Now I made this way back in October and I am very pleased to say the chocolates are still in it!!
As usual there is a fabulous prize on offer for the lucky winner:
Please go over to The Paper Shelter Challenge to see what all the DT both Team A and Team B have done - wow you will be blown away!
Right I am off to marzipan my Christmas Cake and then I am meeting up with a friend for a Christmas coffee may just have a mince pie too! Thank you so much for looking and big big hugs to you if you are not feeling well! Take care xx

Good morning hope you are all well! I don't know where the time is going eeeeeek! We have our carpets down now so much better just waiting for furniture and carpets - hopefully this week????
Today sees the start of a new monthly challenge over on Facebook for Sassy Designs. It has previously been on Papercrafting Planet but has now moved to Facebook here. The new month long challenge starts today and we would love to see your creations. The theme for the month is Show Your Folds which can either be on your card i.e. criss cross, easel, step, etc or the folds on clothing on your image. The design team are all showcasing Katniss Girl of Fire Sassy. Since I am loving my shadow box cards at the moment I went with another one:
I coloured her with my Copics. The papers are really old 12 x 12 from my stash. I used Centural Pearl and Coredinations for the embellishments which were made with X Cut, Memory Box, Cheery Lynn and Dienamics dies. The sentiment is Craftwork Cards. Here is another view:
To play along with the challenge just head over to Sassy Studio Design Facebook Fan Page! Thanks for looking today! Take care xx

Delightful Thursday
Good morning and a Happy Thursday, only 13 days to go oh my goodness! I am in a state of disarray here, the decorator came Monday and decorated the lounge and the carpet fitter is coming today and tomorrow to lay the new carpets to the lounge, hall stairs and landing. This means that we have furniture and everything scattered all over the house! We did get our tree and decorated it yesterday as that goes in the conservatory so I am hoping Dave will be able to manage to get everything back in the lounge today after the carpet fitter has been and then I can get the rest of the house sorted! I won't be here as I take my Aunt out for lunch today and then I am taking her to the opticians.
Well today is Delightful Thursday over at the Digital Delights Blog and it means the DT get to showcase some of Wendy's delightful images. I have used Snowy Lola and made another shadow card:
Lola is available here to purchase and I coloured her with my Copics and Stickles. The sentiment is from Christmas Hugs Sentiment Set and is available here to purchase. The papers are Sugar Plum by Recollections as well as some mirri card from my stash. Dies used are Cheery Lynn Tags 2, Memory Box Frosty Border and Spellbinders Ovals and beaded ovals. The twine, star button and card candi are all from my stash.
Here is another view:

This week on Delightful Challenges the theme for the challenge is use Red and Green. The lucky winner will receive

Let it Snow
This is my second post today if you would like to see my other one please scroll down.
I am back again hanging my head in shame! The reason being that it is a new challenge at Lexi's Creations and this is the last one for the year with the theme of snow, here is my card:
Mmmm doesn't take a genius to see that there is a distinct lack of snow here!! I had a very blonde moment and thought the theme was Christmas which was the theme for the last challenge lol. Susan who runs the challenge was very kind to me - thank you! I only made the card yesterday so I really didn't have any time to make another. I have used my Grand Nesties for the card shape. The image I received in my candy from Rachel (thank you x) and is Hollie Hobbie, reminds me of my daughter when she was little! I coloured the image with Copics and added some Antique Linen to the edges. Papers are First Edition. Here is another view of my snowless creation:
Our sponsor for this challenge is:
who have very kindly donated a £10 voucher for the lucky winner. Please go over to Lexis and see the DT's creations - complete with snow!! Thank you so much for looking and take care xx
