Well what's on my worktop is my marathon that I have finally finished. I think it is the reason I now have a bad back as I was so scrunched up doing it and fiddling around with it. Has it been worth the effort and pain, well I think so, I am quietly pleased with it and did enjoy making it. All in all it didn't take too long - about 2 1/2 days work. It is not an original I have completely copied it from someone else. I saw it on "Always about Colour" blog and it was done by Chris and I really liked it so I have copied it. As it is not an original idea of my own I won't be entering any challenges with it but I can hardly wait to fill it with goodies which will be today as it is December first tomorrow - OMG!! I did manage to have a tidy up in my craft room yesterday but you can't really it and I think its got a bit messy again, why do I bother? Its obviously not meant to be tidy. If you head over to the Leader of the Pack's blog, Julia you can check out the other worktops from around the world - I can guarantee its very addictive (my family always said I was a nosey parker!!). Anyway here it is:
Right I'm off now to join in all the fun over at Julia's - see you tomorrow, take care xx

Hi there and thanks for the peek into your creative zone. It's a lovely card, thanks for sharing. Hope you have a brilliant week and have plenty of creative time!
Love your advent calendar - incredible amount of work gone into it. You stopped by and asked about the folders for my stamps - they are just A4 lever arch files - though I did cut the excess from the cover of one - I intend to the same to the other if I ever get 5 minutes! Happy Wednesday!!!
ah this is really lovely, the intricate details when you click on it are just amazing, Susan and yes know that feeling in the back had it yesterday lie on the floor for ten minutes and it straightens out the kinks - that is what my dad does and I do now! funny that! God bless, happy WOYWW! Shaz in oz.x
Your advent is amazing hun...i would love to have a go at something like this for my boys!!
hugs and xxx
I love your advent!
Thanks for sharing!
Copied or not, mostly you give it your own details. Love your advent and love the colours and papers you've used. Thanks for visiting me and a happy WOYWW. Bye, Franka #16
Oooh that is so lovely - I have made an advent calendar this year too just need to fill it before the children get home from school! (well child one is at my Moms due to the strike!). Thanks for sharing. Sunshine Girl – No 4
Great advent box Susan, love the colours and it doesn't matter that it isn't original - as they say, 'there's nothing new under the sun'.
Thanks for visiting my blog and your lovely comment. The pop-up card isn't from a CD (don't own any) I just played about with two pieces of card to make the inner 'step', stamped the houses (Crafty Individuals stamps) twice and stuck one row on the card base and the other on the step.
Great desk, love your advent box!!
Thanks for sharing ;-)

I LOVE things with little drawers in, and your advent creation is no different. It's really wonderful. My 18 and 15 year old would love that even now :)

WOW what a lovely advent box, so much work but you should feel very pleased with yourself. only one thing I would want to 'muddle' the numbers up sorry
This is so beautiful Susan...you have been so busy and its absolutely stunning. Great project.
Quietly pleased? I would be dancing up and down in glee if I had created something as beautiful as that. It is stunning, and so detailed. Thank you for your visit and kind comments earlier today. Maggie C #59
This must have taken you ages, I'd be more than quietly pleased, it's stunning. I remember seeing it on Chris' blog and loving it. How lovely to have something that comes out year after year.
Hugs Lisax #61
What a beautiful advent! I love the brighter colors and patterns in yours. This is quite the keepsake - small price to pay w/the back :D Hope you had chocolates.
Gorgeous Advent calendar! How they've moved on from the cardboard ones with the windows that we used to have as kids. Sorry to hear you're suffering with your back still, and hope it gets better soon.
Thanks for your nice comment on my blog - I got sick of rolling the sleeves up! It wasn't hard once I got going and I'm really pleased I've done it now. I'm feeling much better today although my throat is still sore and I'm still coughing, but today I was well enough to do some creating in my ARTHaven! I think the fact that I managed it has helped me feel even better! Happy WOYWW, Shoshi #62
WOW Suzie that is absolutely awesome! I am working on an advent calender but probably won't get it done until the weekend...oh well it is just me and the DH here at home so it really doesn't matter! Hope your back feels better soon. Thanks for sharing and hope you have a great week! Vickie #67
