Eyes Down

Good morning from a beautiful sunny Blackpool. Yesterday was gorgeous - 20 degrees! I had a wonderful weekend with the boys. On Saturday I had a bit of a party for Harrison as it is his fourth birthday on Friday so everyone came round and we were even sat in the garden!  Very worn out when they went though.  Sorry I have been quiet I have been so busy with everything that I have had very little time for blogging but I hope to catch up on things over the next few days.

Today is a new challenge at Crafty Sentiments and the theme this challenge is Bingo so eyes down and clickety click as they say!

I have used one of my favourites - Twinkle Fairy available here. I coloured her in using Copics with some Liquid Pearls and Glamour Dust. The papers are First Edition called Boho Chic and I used an old sketch from Papertake Weekly.  I cut the image out using Dienamics Pierced Oval Stax and mounted it using their Oval Stax I also used their mini Scallop Border for the borders.  The corners are Whimsy dies and the sentiment is LOTV.

Here is the Bingo Board:

Just choose any line either horizontal, vertical or diagonal and make sure to include the three element on your card. I chose the diagonal line: Rubber Stamp - check, Die cut - check and Ribbon - check!  We have a wonderful prize for the lucky winner:

Please go over to the Crafty Sentiments Challenge and see the rest of the DT work and for all the details of the challenge.

I have used the Prairie Girl from the Prairie Kids Set which is available here. I have coloured her with my Copics and cut her out.  The sentiment is from the Spring Sentiments Set available here and I printed it out direct to my paper and cut it out using Dienamics Fishtail Stax.  The papers are MME Stella and Rose Mabel.  The clouds and tree are Memory Box dies and the border, circle and mat are all Dienamics.

Let's See Those Folds!

Good morning! I have scheduled this as my daughter and Rowan are staying a few days because Rowan's Daddy is away for a few days on business.  So apologies now if I don't get round to you all, then my son and Harrison and Rafe are coming on Friday for the weekend - so lots of fun and cuddles for me!!

Today we have a new challenge at The Paper Shelter and we want to see your folds on your card as in easel card, step cards, z fold etc etc!!  Here is mine:

I went for a Joy Fold Card, one of my favourites.  Apologies for the picture but it looks really washed out, I took loads too and these are the best of the bunch.  I have used a new image from The Paper Shelter called Halloween available here.  I coloured the image with Copics using chalks for the background.  The papers are Echo Park The Apothecary Emporium, I am trying to use some of the many paper pads I have accumulated - a long way to go yet!  I cut the image out with SB Circle Die and matted onto Dienamics Pinking Edge Circle Stax.  The cobweb corner is La La Land die and the Dangling Spider is Memory Box.  The Wrought Iron Fence along the bottom is Memory Box.  My sentiment is made with an Uptown Rubber Stamp embossed in Black Sparkle.

Another view:

As usual there is a fabulous prize available to the lucky winner:

Please take a look at The Paper Shelter Challenge for lots of inspiration.

The Design Team were given some beautiful digital Collage Sheets from our sponsor for this challenge I used the Shabby Pink sheet which is available here.  The main image is from the sheet and then i cut out the sheet music and postcard, distressing them both with a bit of Antique Linen and Vintage Photo.  The butterfly is also from the sheet, I fussy cut him out then curled his wings slightly before adding some Sepia Glossy Accents to it.  The frame around the image is a Marianne Design to which I added some Frantage.  The corner dies are Joy Crafts and have also had some Frantage.  The paper is from Craftwork Cards and the lace and brad were from candy I received from Mags - thank you!

As I mentioned earlier our sponsor is Lunagirl and they have some amazing digital Collage Sheets - thousands of images both in digital and CD form. Its really worth having a look at their shop here.

I hope you all have a lovely weekend. We are having a BBQ again tonight, my sister and her partner are coming around.  Yesterday I went with my daughter and Rowan to his swimming class and I went in with him and my daughter watched.  He was quite happy splashing away and kicking him until it came to the part where he had to go underwater! He did not like that at all so I only did it the once bless him.

Today is Delightful Thursday over on the Digital Delights Blog and the DT showcase some of Wendy's fabulous images.  Here is my card:

Now for some reason the photos make the border look uneven but IRL they aren't it must have been the angle I took them at!  Anyway, I have used Alien Andy available here and coloured him with my Copics adding some touches of Stickles and Glossy Accents.  The sentiment comes from the Keeping in Touch Sentiment Set available here and I printed both directly onto the card for a fairly CAS look. The starry paper is from The Sweet Shoppe called Schooltime. I used Dienamics Star dies and Cheery Lynn Tiny Expandable Borders.

Colours of Autumn

Good morning to you!  I just couldn't sleep last night so I have been up since 4!! Showered, dressed, bed made and two loads of washing done and its not even 7 lol!!  In case you're wondering if I made the bed with Dave in it, he's lying in the conservatory with the cat!!! Anyway the reason I am here is to announce that we have a new challenge starting at Crafty Sentiments and the theme this week is to use the Colours of Autumn!  Here is my make:

I have used sweet Petal Fairy available from Crafty Sentiments here.  I coloured her with my Copics adding some Art Institute Fine Glitter to her wings.  I cut the image out using Dienamics Pierced Rectangle Stax and matted onto some Kraft and then added a fine line of the Art Institute Glitter around the edge.  The papers are Raspberry Road "Autumn Thyme".  The mat around the central paper is made using Cheery Lynn Mini Pearl Square Doily die and the Sunflower is also a Cheery Lynn die with a Marianne die for the leaves.  The sentiment is Waltzingmouse and I used Spellbinders Labels 18 to cut it out.  I coloured the pearls with my Copics to match.

Hello there and a big welcome to my latest followers Colette and Liz.  Did you have a nice weekend? We had a BBQ yesterday, a bit cool but managed to eat outside none the less!  Can you believe we are half way through September today? Where on earth is the year going!!

Anyway to the business at hand and we have a new challenge starting at Lexi's Creations today.  The theme this fortnight is Autumn Colours.  I have gone for rather muted Autumnal Colours on mine but I still think they are Autumnal:

The image is Angel by Tiddlyinks and I have coloured her with my Copics, distressing around the edge with Antique Linen DI .  The papers are Nitwits Crab Apple Lane.  I used the following dies and punches:
Dienamics Pierced Rectangle Stax
Cheery Lynn Mini Pearl Square Doily
Marianne Heart Die
Martha Stewart Punch Heart Border
Woodware Flower Punch
Nellie Snellen Leaf Punch

The ticket is a digi but it is on my other pc so sorry don't know who by, I did the Happy Birthday on it myself.  I also printed out another heart from the digi making it bigger and cut it out for an embellishment.

Thank you so much for looking today and your continued support, take care xx

Delightful Thursday

Hellooooo there! I am back from London, slightly exhausted but happy it's always such a joy to see my two little Grandsons down there.  I was  looking after them and we went to a zoo/playpark on Monday and to the park on Tuesday so I am shattered and my back is playing up now - grrrr!

Today its time to showcase some more of Wendy's fabulous images over on the Digital Delights Blog.  I have decided I need to start making some Christmas cards instead of leaving it all to the last minute!

I have used Flying Santa available here and he has been coloured with my Copics with Stickles added too!  I cut him out with my Dienamics Pierced Rectangle Stax and matted him using those too. The papers are Nitwits Festive Trimmings (love these).  The sentiment is from the Christmas Hugs Sentiments Set available here and I used the tag from Dienamics Blueprints 6.  The border was made using Spellbinders A2 Curved Borders and applying lots of Diamond Stickles to it.  The button is October Afternoon and the twine, snowflakes, gems and sequins are from my stash.

There are some fabulous makes from the DT if you head over to the Digital Delights Blog for some more inspiration. Over on Delightful Challenges there is a new challenge just started and the theme is Simple Times (Clean and Simple).

Challenges I would like to enter:

Divas By Design - Anything Goes

(PIN)sparational - Photo Inspiration (I used the colours of the photo)

Emboss It

Hello there! Over at The Paper Shelter we have a brand new challenge starting.  The theme this week is Emboss It so we want to see either dry embossing or wet embossing - I have used both on my card:

Now this cutie is called Exotic Enchantment and lives here at The Paper Shelter. I coloured her with my Copics and cut her out with Dienamics Oval Stax before matting her on Spellbinders Floral Ovals.  Around the edge I sprinkled some Frantage and heat set it.  The paper is from Nitwits 'Cottage Charm' and card stock from Paper Mill.  I embossed the card stock with Couture Creations 'Tied Together' and used a Viva Decor Pen to add some pearls.  The sentiment is LOTV and the floral spray is a die from Joanna Sheen 'Daisy Bouquet' to which I added more Viva Decor.

As usual there is a fabulous prize on offer:

make sure you use a Paper Shelter image to be in with a chance to win $30 voucher to the shop.  If you use another image then your prize will be 3 images.

Good morning I hope you are enjoying your weekend and have something nice planned today.  I am off driving down to London later in the morning to spend two days with my gorgeous boys!

Over at Hobbycutz challenge we have a new challenge starting today.  The theme this week is For The Boys and the fabulous Paper Shelter are our sponsors.  They have a huge selection of images to choose from and each digital image comes with a coloured image, one for you to colour and a paper background to print off.  Here is my card:

I decided to use the colour version of this cutie called My Racing Car and available here.  My papers are by Nitwits.  I cut and matted the image using Spellbinders, the border was made using Spellbinders Edgeabilities and the banner was made using Lil' Inker matted onto Dienamics. I painted my laser cut gear with some Acrylic Paint to match the card,  Kobie has some fabulous laser cuts available here at her store.

Please go over to the Hobbycutz Challenge for some more inspiration and details of the fabulous prize from The Paper Shelter.

Sadly, this will be my last project for Hobbycutz as I have decided to step down from the DT.  I would like to thank Kobie for having me on her team and for her kindness and generosity.
