Delightful Thursday

Good morning to you I am a bit late my computer is running sooooo slow today! Now I have a question for you:  Why is is on a nice day that when you have to spend 10 minutes loading your car up with a new pram, baby seat, parasol and changing bag the heavens open and an almighty hail storm happens?? I got drenched through and then as soon as we were driving off it was lovely sunny skies again - my jeans are still drying off!  Anyway mission accomplished we picked the pram and trappings up and had a demonstration of how to use it.  I remember when Harrison was still a baby Dave and I took him into the nearby village in the car.  When we got there we got the pram out and spent 15 minutes trying to get it together, in the end we had to come home!!!

Anyway enough of my waffle I am here because it is time for Delightful Thursday over at Digital Delights Blog and I have a card to share today:

I have used one of my favourite images Flower Power Daisy which is available here from Digital Delights. The sentiment is from the Birthday Sentiment Set which is available here. I have coloured her with my Copics.  Paper is by Echo Park Happy Days.  I embossed the Centura Pearl card using a Cuttlebug embossing folder and then cut the aperture out with Spellbinders Large Circles and made a frame for it with a Spellbinders Scallop and Circle Die.  Dienamics Fishtail Stax for the sentiment and the little borders are Cheery Lynn Tiny Expandable Borders.  Here is another view:

Please go over to the Digital Delights Blog and check out the rest of the DT's work. While you are at it there is a brand new challenge at Delightful Challenges this week and the theme is "Make It Simple" .

Stack It Up

Hello there, ready for the weekend?  I am scheduling this as I have gone to London with my daughter to stay with my son and grandsons until Monday.  We are all going to the big Baby Show tomorrow.  Thank you all for your kind comments regarding my daughter's hospital visit yesterday. It all went well and we have a really in depth plan for the birth and following days.  She will have to stay in hospital for 4 - 5 days following the birth.  They have a mother and baby unit at Wythenshaw - the only one in the Northwest - should she need to be admitted but I am hoping and praying that it won't be needed but we were shown around it yesterday.

Today sees the start of a new challenge at Card Makin' Mamas and the theme is Stack It Up - we want to see 3 or more layers.  Here is my card:

The image is a rubber stamp from Unity which I have coloured with Copics.  The papers are a digital set called I've got Sunshine by Traci Reed at Sweet Shoppe Designs.  I have used the following dies:  Dienamics Pierced Rectangle Stax, Spellbinders A2 Scalloped Borders, Go Kreate Tag, Cheery Lynn Large, Medium and Miniature Rose and Marianne Leaf.  The ribbon and sentiment are from my stash.  The sign with the quote on it comes with the paper set. Here is another view:

Please go over to Card Makin' Mamas and see the rest of the Design Team and for more details of the challenge.

Thank you so much for looking today and for any comments you may leave, it is always lovely to read them all! Take care xx

I have a busy day today first off I am taking my Aunt out for lunch and then I have to get back and get over to my daughter's in Bolton to go with her to her hospital appointment in Wythenshaw.  She has just found out she has gestational diabetes which is probably due to one of medications she has to take.  They told her the other day that she will probably have to be induced one to two weeks early which I said was great as the last month is a pain for not getting comfortable etc but she wasn't too happy about it.  Its certainly better than going two weeks past your due date and then being induced which is what happened to me when I had her!  Thank you so much for looking today and take care! xx

Delightful Thursday

Good morning to you all . Hope you are safe and well today.  We had severe winds and lashing rain all night.  The wind started about 7 last night, we were sat with candles and torches at the ready but luckily did not need them.  I haven't been out yet but can only see one fence panel down so we were very lucky, when I think of the poor people down South who have had their homes flooded for weeks on end a bit of storm damage is nothing.

Today sees another Delightful Thursday over at the Digital Delights Blog when the DT get to showcase some of the fabulous images Wendy has over at the Digital Delights Store. Here is my card:

Special Delivery

Hello and hope you are having a lovely weekend.  We have done all the housework this morning and I decided to treat Dave to an early Valentine present and went out and bought him a new Dyson!  I know how to treat a man!  We are going to go round to his daughter's house for dinner later so that will be nice to catch up with them and his grandchildren.

I have a card to share today that I was asked to make some cards for a baby boy this is the first I made.  I actually made two very similar one for a boy and one for a girl but I will show the other some other day.

The rubber stamp is a Magnolia called Delivery From Heaven.  I bought the stamp as I was looking for one for when my daughter has her baby.  I didn't want one with a baby on it as her partner is Asian and so it wouldn't be suitable to have a Caucasian baby on but I thought this would be suitable as there is only a bit of the head showing, no doubt I will get several more before the big event. I have coloured it with Copics and added some Liquid Pearls in blue.  The papers and sentiment are Pink Petticoat.  I used Dienamics stitched Rectangle Stax and mini tabs for the image and sentiment.  The banner is La La Land and my favourite SB border die.  Here is another view:

Challenges I would like to enter:

Allsorts - Colours beginning with B

Its a Whopper

Good morning to you all.  Thank you so much for your kind comments about my daughter and her scan.  She had the scan on Tuesday so I got to see my little grandson.  Rather than not developing enough it would appear the opposite is true!  They now think he is on the big side so she is going to be tested for gestational diabetes.  My son's first son, Harrison, was a 10lb 9oz baby so she has been a bit taken aback to say the least!!  As long as they are both healthy that's the main thing but I am not getting anymore clothes as I remember Harrison going straight into 3-6 month clothing and he is now in age 5 and only 3!!

As today is the first Thursday in the month that can only mean one thing:  New Release Day at Digital Delights!  We have both a sporty and an Easter theme going on in the new releases.  Here is what I had to play with:

The delightful Cheerleader Samantha, Mix Them Up Digital Paper Set and Sports Sentiment all available to purchase here.  I coloured Samantha with my Copics and then cut her out.  I made an aperture in the card with my Spellbinders Grand Nestie Circles, framed it with SB GN Scalloped Circles out of mirri card and put the DP behind.  Cut the sentiment out with a SB Circle and used the star circle nestie to mat it.  The stars are also from the same set.

Here is another view:

Over at Delightful Challenges this week the theme is Anything Goes with a $10 store certificate to Scrapyland for the lucky winner.  Please pop over to the Digital Delights Blog to see the rest of the new releases by the super talented Design Team.

I would like to enter the following challenges:

Crafting By Designs - Anything Goes
Fan-Tastic Tuesday - Anything Goes
Papertake Weekly - Anything Goes
Digi Makeover Challenge - Anything Goes

Well I have had another night of not sleeping, been awake since 12:25 why I always wake up at that time I have no idea! Didn't get up this time but stayed on my I Pad until 545 and then still couldn't sleep. Afraid I'm going to be a bit of a zombie today. Taking my Aunt out for lunch then to a Doctor's appointment.

Thank you so much for looking today I really appreciate your visit! Take care xx
