Love/Red

Good morning and a big welcome to my new followers Erin and Helen, so lovely to see you here! Thank you for all your lovely comments on my last post.  Our 'snow' lasted about half an hour so I managed to get out with my Aunt although it was very windy!

Today is the start of a new month so that means a new challenge over at Buckwell's Crafty Challenge and this month our theme is Love/Red so anything with red or love themed will be fine.  Here is my effort:

I have used an image from our sponsor this month Kenny K who kindly gave us an image - thank you!  The image is called Lil Angel and Devil and I had fun colouring it with my Copics and lots of Glamour Dust on the wings.  The papers are digital and are available here from Buckwells in CD form I used Micro Dots and Love Rush. I covered the Love Rush with Little Claire's adhesive glitter sparkle to add some glitz.  I used Martha Stewart PATP heart punch for the border.  The ribbon is also from Buckwells, Bordeaux Organza Ribbon available here.

Here is a better picture showing the glittered paper:

We have some fabulous prizes for the lucky winners:

3 Digis from Kenny K

Two lucky winners will receive 5 sets of Backing Papers from Buckwell Crafts.  The sets are on offer at the moment: buy 4 and get 1 free!

Challenges I would like to enter:

Di's Digi Design - Include a Heart

No White Please

Hello there hope you are enjoying your weekend.  We went to Cartmell Races yesterday with my Daughter, Rowan and her Partner along with her Dad and his partner.  As usual I am hopeless at choosing a winner and lost every race apart from one when I was feeding Rowan and asked my Daughter to go and choose one for me and place the bet.  Well that one won so I ended up breaking even!  Rowan was a delight so good and he kept blowing bubbles and laughing for me, he had me crying with laughter.  I am going to get ready after I have done this post and then I am driving down to London to be with my Son and two Grandsons down there so I am having a gorgeous time with all my Grandchildren this week!

Anyway, enough of my waffle and on to the reason I am here! We have a new challenge at Hobbycutz starting today and this week the theme is No White on Your Card! Oh gosh this threw me into a bit of a panic!  I printed my image out which was very kindly donated by our sponsor this week, Kenny K, and then realised I had printed it on white paper and it was a bit fussy with all the hair to cut out exactly.  So I decided to go all round the image with a pale blue Copic before I cut her out.  Of course the whites of her eyes are white but I didn't see anyway round that unless I made them bloodshot lol.

The image is Hope Improvement available from Kenny K - thank you!  I coloured her with my Copics and the top of her boots are grey not white! All my papers are digital from DDE called Colder Weather.  I made a frame for the image using Cheery Lynn Mini Pearl Square Mega Doily and Spellbinders Square.  The sentiment and matching die are from Whimsy.  I added some Card Candi and some fabulous laser cut gears from the Hobbycutz Shop here.

As I mentioned before we have a fabulous sponsor this week:

Please head over to the challenge and see what the rest of the DT have done for some more inspiration.  We would love to see what you create so get cracking and share your creativity with us!

Thank you so much for looking, take care xx

Time to Celebrate

Good morning hope you are having a wonderful weekend.  I would like to extend a warm welcome to my latest followers:  Designer Diva, Patrice and Marianne.

Today sees the start of a new challenge at Hobbycutz and the theme this week is:

CELEBRATE

Here is my card:

I used Happy Hour by Kenny K one of this week's sponsors - thank you.  She has been coloured quite simply with Copics to match the paper, I added some Glossy Accents to her glass.  The paper is Echo Park Hybrid "Happy Days".  I used Dienamics Stitched Rectangle Stax to cut the image out and their Fishtail Stax to mat the sentiment which is by Cheery Lynn.  The beautiful heart is a lasercut from Hobbycutz which is available here.  I painted the heart with Acrylic Paint then painted it with Glossy Accents so it is nice and shiny like a lacquered one in real life.  Here is another view:

We have three wonderful sponsors this week:  Kenny K, Whimsy and our very own Hobbycutz.  Please go over to the challenge for more details.

Challenges I would like to enter:

Pattie's Creations - Spots or Dots
KennyK's Krafty Krew - Anything Goes

Well I didn't get any housework done yesterday, by the time I got back from dropping Dave at the train station and shopping I wasn't in the mood.  I have to do it all today! Hopefully it will leave me some crafting time before I go pick Dave up at the station at 6.  Have a wonderful day whatever you are doing and thank you so much for looking! Take care xx
