Delightful Thursday

Good morning sweet bloggers how is your week going?  My reading list finally reappeared yesterday afternoon.  Usually when it disappears if I keep refreshing the page or open in another window I can eventually get it but it just wasn't playing yesterday! Anyway I have just checked and its still here!

Today its Delightful Thursday over on the Digital Delights Blog where the DT showcase some of Wendy's fab images.  Here is my card:

I have done a Die Cut Swing Card following a tutorial on Splitcoast Stampers.  This was really difficult to photograph and I haven't done that good a job.  The image turns round not sure if you can see that from the picture.  I have used Flippity  Felicia which is available here and on the reverse the sentiment is from the Birthday Sentiment Set which is available here.  I coloured Felicia with my Copics adding some Antique Linen DI around the edges.  Now I smudge a bit of my Copics on the card so I covered that with some Viva Decor Pearl Pen!  The image has been cut out using Spellbinders Labels 18.  The papers are Raspberry Road Glory Days.  I used Lil Inker Little Bow on the outside and on the inside Memory Box Corner Bow.  I don't know why the bottom of the image in the left corner has a reddish hue but IRL it doesn't!

Head over to the Digital Delights Blog and see what the rest of the DT have done. Over at Delightful Challenges there is a new challenge starting today and the theme is Layer It.

Challenges I would like to enter:

Simon Says - Anything Goes
The Crafter's Cafe - Punches and Dies
Divas By Design - Birthday
The Sisterhood of Crafters - Fancy Folds
Ooh La La Creations - Fancy Folds

I hope you have a wonderful day and thank you so much for looking! Take care xx

Back to School (Again)

Help!!! Has anyone else lost their Reading List? I can't get mine either on my pc or IPad - is Mr Blogger up to his usual tricks or is just me????

Hello and its time for another challenge over at The Paper Shelter where the theme this week is Back to School. Here is my card:

I have used the fab Vintage Teacher which is available here to purchase. All of the images at The Paper Shelter come in both coloured and plain form for you to colour as well as some backing papers for your project. I coloured her with my Copics and then used Pierced Rectangle Stax by Dienamics to cut her out and matted her using Cheery Lynn.  The digital papers are from The Sweet Shoppe called Hometown Proud.  I used a Waltzingmouse stamp for the sentiment cutting it out with a Marianne banner.  The fishtail banners were made with Dienamics Stax and I coloured the pearls to match with my Copics.

Here is a side view:

As usual there is a fabulous prize for the lucky winner:

Please go over to The Paper Shelter to see what the rest of the DT have done for some wonderful inspiration and then get your projects entered!

No White Please

Hello there hope you are enjoying your weekend.  We went to Cartmell Races yesterday with my Daughter, Rowan and her Partner along with her Dad and his partner.  As usual I am hopeless at choosing a winner and lost every race apart from one when I was feeding Rowan and asked my Daughter to go and choose one for me and place the bet.  Well that one won so I ended up breaking even!  Rowan was a delight so good and he kept blowing bubbles and laughing for me, he had me crying with laughter.  I am going to get ready after I have done this post and then I am driving down to London to be with my Son and two Grandsons down there so I am having a gorgeous time with all my Grandchildren this week!

Anyway, enough of my waffle and on to the reason I am here! We have a new challenge at Hobbycutz starting today and this week the theme is No White on Your Card! Oh gosh this threw me into a bit of a panic!  I printed my image out which was very kindly donated by our sponsor this week, Kenny K, and then realised I had printed it on white paper and it was a bit fussy with all the hair to cut out exactly.  So I decided to go all round the image with a pale blue Copic before I cut her out.  Of course the whites of her eyes are white but I didn't see anyway round that unless I made them bloodshot lol.

The image is Hope Improvement available from Kenny K - thank you!  I coloured her with my Copics and the top of her boots are grey not white! All my papers are digital from DDE called Colder Weather.  I made a frame for the image using Cheery Lynn Mini Pearl Square Mega Doily and Spellbinders Square.  The sentiment and matching die are from Whimsy.  I added some Card Candi and some fabulous laser cut gears from the Hobbycutz Shop here.

As I mentioned before we have a fabulous sponsor this week:

KennyK shop badge

Please head over to the challenge and see what the rest of the DT have done for some more inspiration.  We would love to see what you create so get cracking and share your creativity with us!

Thank you so much for looking, take care xx

I used a Spellbinders embossing folder on the background and the paper is from Nitwits Flower Shoppe.

Over at Delightful Challenges the theme this week is School Days sponsored by our very own Digital Delights!

Hello there and thank you so much for visiting me.  I hope your week has got off to a good start.  Today at Crafty Sentiments we have a new challenge starting and the theme is - Back to School (deja vu).  Here is my card:

I have used Meeting Friends from Crafty Sentiments available here and she has been coloured with my Copics. The papers are DDE Because I'm Happy.  I fussy cut her out and then placed her on an SB Oval which had been embossed with a circles embossing folder but I don't think you can really see that.  I used Dienamics Notebook Edge and also their Double Scallop Border.  The little ruler is Maya Road which I coloured with my Copics.

We have a fabulous prize up for grabs this week:

Please go over to the Crafty Sentiments challenge for all the details and to see the rest of the DT work.

Thank you so much for looking! Sorry this is short and sweet but I have dashed up to do it and left Rowan playing on his mat in the lounge with Dave. Hugs to you all, take care xx

Good morning to you and I hope you had a wonderful weekend and are raring to go for the week ahead.  Over at Lexi's Creations we have a new challenge starting today and the theme is Back to School.  A friend's daughter is about to start school so I have made a card for her:

This sweet image is a Sassy Cheryl called No 2 Pencil and I have coloured her with my Copics.  I tried to get the hair like Chloe's but it is too dark her hair is a lot lighter shade of red.  The papers are from The Sweet Shoppe by M Mullens and H Powell called School Time - Elementary.  I used Dienamics Pierced Rectangle Stax to cut the image out and used Cheery Lynn Mini Pearl Circle and Square to mat the image and background paper.  The fishtail banner was made with Dienamics.  For Chloe's name I used a Tim Holtz Alphabet die.  The apple and wording come with the papers.  The ladybird is a button I have had years and years.

Please head over to the challenge at Lexis for more inspiration from the DT.

I would like to enter the following challenges:

Lacy Sunshine - Back to School

ALBC - Mid-way Reminder

Good morning from a sunny Blackpool.  Just back from the gym and posting this quickly before I go out and get some groceries.

This is a reminder that we are now half way through our challenge at A Little Bit Crafty which this month is Sew What.  I was given a beautiful Sewing themed stamp set from one of our Sponsors - Darkroom Door and thought I would use it again.  I saw Debby's card here on her blog and thought how gorgeous it was so thought I would try the technique although Debby's card looks thousand times better than mine!!

These are lovely stamps and though they probably are more suitable to a vintage style card the other DT members did some beautiful vintage style cards so I thought I would try something a bit different.  I used Adirondack inks for the stamping, Cheery Lynn tag for the sentiment which is PC generated. The ribbon and charm are from my stash.

Please head over to A Little Bit Crafty for all the details of the fabulous sponsors this month! I really must dash off to Booths now, take care xx

Delightful Thursday

Hello there and welcome to another Delightful Thursday over at Digital Delights Blog where the DT showcase some of Wendy's fabulous images.

I have used Splish Splash Susie for my image and she is available here.  I coloured her with my Copics and added some sequins to look like rain or maybe hailstones lol!  I used my Dienamics Pierced Rectangle Stax to cut out the image.  The sentiment is from Feel Better Sentiment Set which is available here and I used my Dienamics Fishtail Stax to cut it out putting it in twice to get the two edges. The papers are Digital Design Elements Shabby Holiday along with Papermill card stock.  Flowers are from Petal Lu and I have used Joanna Sheen Daisy Bouquet die.  I made my card shape using my SB Grand Circles and Scalloped Circles.

Over at Delightful Challenges we have a new challenge starting with the theme of One Two Punch - Add an embellishment made with a punch. The sponsor is Quilling Supply Plus with a $15 store voucher for the lucky winner.

Punches and Dies

Good morning, I hope your week is going well wherever you are.  Today sees a new challenge over at The Paper Shelter and the theme this week is Punches and Dies.  Here is my card:

I have used the delightful Spring Enchantment which is available here to purchase.  I coloured her with my Copics and when I had finished I noticed I had a blog of the orange ink to the side of the image so that's the reason why I had to stamp all around the edge - to hide the blob! The digital papers are Digital Designs Essentials: A Good Day.  I made my card blank using Go Kreate Die and card stock from the Papermill.  My punch is a Martha Stewart punch which I used for the border.  I used Spellbinders Teardrop Circles and Dienamics stitched circle Stax for the circular mat behind the image.  For the image I cut her out with Dienamics Stitched Rectangle Stax and mounted her on Cheery Lynn mini Pearl Square Doily (I know its a square die but you can make it into a rectangle if you are careful).  The sentiment and pennant are Lil Inker.  So that makes 6 Dies and 1 Punch used!

As usual there is a fabulous prize for the lucky winner:

Please head over to The Paper Shelter Challenge and check out the rest of the DT projects they are such a talented bunch I feel very honoured to be amongst them!

Challenges I would like to enter:

My daughter and Rowan are coming over today so lots of cuddles and plays for me.  He is coming on in leaps and bounds weighing over 12 lb now and holding his head up!

Cute 'n Cuddly

Hello there and welcome to a new week - eek the year is flying by! Well it started out very wild and windy this morning here - the remnants of Hurricane Bertha we are told, however its beautiful now, really sunny just slightly blustery.  I went to the gym this morning and then have had a chilled day doing a bit of crafting.  I have done a DT card and then also this one for a few challenges.

I followed the sketch over at Sketch Saturday because I do love following a sketch, makes things a lot easier!  The papers are Nitwits Good Hareday and the image is a Lili of the Valley coloured with my Copics.  I tried to make the dog's fur look a bit texturised but it looks like he has measles - do dogs get measles I wonder??  I used my Dienamics Fishtail Stax for the sentiment which is a Pink Petticoat one.  The bottom border is Dienamics from Blueprints 6.  I have bought several of these but in all honesty I hardly use them as they aren't the right size for my 5.75 x 5.75 cards. The other two borders are made with Cheery Lynn Tiny Expandable Borders die, which is a really useful one to have.

Challenges I would like to enter:

Sketch Saturday - Sketch
Suzy Bees - Anything Goes
Bearly Mine - Anything Goes
Dies 'R Us - Birthday
Crafty Girls - Anything Goes
Crafty Little Fairies - Cute and Cuddly

Thank you so much for looking today and the lovely comments which I know are time consuming but soooooo lovely to read, take care xx

Fancy Folds

Good morning I hope you are all having a wonderful weekend. It is absolutely throwing it down here! Yesterday was beautiful so nice and sunny. We went for a walk and then about 5 there was a knock at the door and when Dave opened it someone had left a beautiful little baby boy on our doorstep! My daughter and her partner were hiding round the corner lol.  It was so nice we sat at the bottom of the garden on the decking. Dave was playing with a very old wooden pull along toy for Rowan and he was thrilled with it, he was squealing and kicking his feet - we were all in stitches!

Anyway, today is a new challenge at Hobbycutz and this week I have chosen the theme which is "Fancy Folds."  Here is my contribution:

I have made a pop up box card.  Well to tell the truth I actually made the box ages ago and it was lying on my worktop waiting to be used - so long ago that some of the papers had faded so I had to tear them off and put fresh ones on!  I used digital papers from The Sweet Shoppe called Here In This Moment and some card stock from The Papermill.  The sentiment is Penny Black and I used the resist method of embossing with some Scattered Straw DI and then cut it out with SB Labels 13.  The flowers are SB and also a punch, ivy a Marianne die and butterfly is MB.  The fence is a lovely laser cut from Hobbycutz there are loads of different ones have a look at the shop here.

I think I should have decorated this front panel, will have to do something with it!

Please head over to the challenge to see what the rest of the DT have done and for all the details on the challenge!

Thank you so much for looking today and any comments you leave, take care xx

Hello and I hope you are having a lovely weekend. We are having a quiet one, did some shopping this morning first thing and then some crafting and once I have posted this we are going to go for a walk.

I have done a DT card and should really have done another but I have been struggling with my mojo so had a look at some challenges and decided to do a card for some challenges instead!  Thought it was time I started to do the odd Christmas card too!

I have used this cute Ladybug Crafts Ink this would be great for my sister for Christmas she has a Japanese Spitz which looks a bit like that, she also has a Papillon though (could pretend its wandered off lol).  I coloured the image with Copics and used StarDust Stickles and Liquid Pearls.  Cut the image out using Spellbinders Labels 18.  The papers are Nitwits Still Joyful and sentiment is Pink Petticoat cut out using a Lil' Inker pennant die.  The snowflake is a Spellbinders die and I love that big gem!

Mojo Monday - Sketch
Creative Craft Cottage - Colour Palette

Crafty Hazelnuts - Christmas
Sparkles - Christmas in July

Golden Years

Good morning I hope you had a wonderful weekend and are all refreshed for the week ahead.  We have a new challenge at Lexi's Creations starting today and the theme is Anniversary/Special Occasion.  Our next door neighbours will be celebrating their Golden Anniversary soon so I thought I would make a card for that, they don't know about my blog so all will be safe!

I was very lucky to win Mag's candy the other day and this beautiful Sizzix die was in it - thank you Mags! I used Centura Pearl to cut the die out and some gold foil card to back.  The sentiment was done on my PC and I cut it out using Cheery Lynn Mini Pearl Doily die and backed it onto Spellbinders Radiant Rectangles.  All the layers are on foam squares for some dimension.  Ribbon, flowers, stamens, heart pin, pearl heart and crystals are all from my stash and I have used some gold Acrylic paint to colour some of them.
