Lace and Ribbon

Good morning and here we are at the end of April tomorrow being the first of May and hopefully we will start to have some nicer weather!

Today sees the start of a brand new challenge at Lexi's Creations and the theme is Lace and Ribbon so get out your stashed ribbon and lace and get cracking!  Here is my card:

I have used Roses by Lexi and you can get it here at Fairy Dust Crafts.  The image was coloured with Copics and I added some Stickles for a bit of sparkle.  I have cut and matted using Spellbinders and added some pre-gathered lace behind the mat.  The papers are Nitwits and the ribbon is from Paperchase which is left over from Christmas when I made my own tags.  Pearls are from my stash.  If you would like to join in the challenge we would love to see you so head over to Lexi's Creations and see what the rest of the team have come up with for some more inspiration!  We are sponsored this week by:

Cropstop who will kindly give the lucky winner a $15 gift certificate!

Hold on Tight!

Good morning everyone hope you are okay and having nice weekends.  Did you see the Voice last night - who were your favourites?  I liked the first and last singers the best they both gave great performances.

For today's card I have followed the sketch at Lili's Little Fairies:

I have used one of the images from the last release which I won on the blog hop.  I have coloured it with my Copics and Prisma Pencils and added a bit of Silver Spica Pen and some Glossy Accents.  The papers are by Authentique called Celebrate.  I have cut and matted using Spellbinders Large Circles and Star Circles.  I have used the smallest star and the fallout from the Nestie to add stars to the background paper.  I have used my Edgeabilities to cut out some Coredinations for the strips at the back.  I wanted some buttons to match but couldn't find any in my stash or at the haberdashery so I made some with the paper and my Epiphany button maker and added some Baker's Twine to finish.  I thought this would make a male card so I didn't want any ribbon or bling on it.  I will enter this in the following challenges:

Lili's Little Fairies - Sketch
Simon Says Stamp - Anything Goes
One Stop Craft - One Image, Two Papers and Three Embellishments
Crafty Catz - Anything Goes
Hot Shot Craft - Young Love
Aud Sentiments - Anything Goes
Divas by Design - Buttons and Bows

I'd like to welcome my new follower - a big helloooooo and thank you!  That is it for me for today no doubt will do a bit of crafting and catch up with you all.  Hope you all have a fab day and I'll see you tomorrow, take care xx

Two Sisters

Good morning and happy weekend to you all!  Hope you all have a lovely one whatever you are up to. We are having a quiet one so plenty of crafty time I hope!!

For my card today I have used a Wags 'n Whiskers digi which I won recently in their challenge and Nikki told me the image is based on her two daughters:

I have followed the sketch again from Papertake Weekly because I really enjoyed using it.  The papers are from Nitwits called Spring Breeze (their sale is still on - 32.5% off everything).  I have coloured the image with Copics and Prismas.  The umbrella is made from a Memory Box die and ribbon and gems from my stash.  I have put some Glossy Accents on their eyes and wellies not sure if it shows too well on this picture.

I would like to enter the following challenges:

Papertake Weekly - Sketch
Simon Says Stamp - Anything Goes
Emergency Crafters - Bold and Bright
Lily Pad - Rainy Days
Sweet 'n Sassy - Quote Inspiration 'April Showers'
Wags 'n Whiskers - Used their image
Art Impressions - Rain or Shine
Ribbon Carousel - Anything Goes
Sassy Cheryl's - April Showers
Paper Creations Ink - April Showers

Well I read somewhere that Copic prices are going up by 8.5% from May so I ordered a pile of Sketch Copics and I am hoping they come today.  I ordered them from Cult Pens yesterday and they were dispatched yesterday they always have excellent service. I am swapping over from Ciaos to Sketch gradually as the Sketch are bigger and have the numbers on the end which the Ciaos don't.  So I will do a bit of shopping this morning, a crafty afternoon then The Voice and BGT tonight!!

Thanks so much for looking and please leave a comment as it is always lovely to read them and I know you have been then!! See you tomorrow and take care xx

Good morning all you wet bloggers!!  And a big welcome and thank you to my new followers I'm thrilled that you have joined me!  I am scheduling this post in case I have a lie in in the morning hehe!  I went to a fashion show last night with my sister and it was lovely to see all the summer clothes can't imagine ever wearing any in this weather but a girl can dream can't she??

Anyway for today's post I have followed another sketch and also a photo inspiration:

I really love these Paper Shelter images they are so cute and lovely to colour too.  I have coloured this sweetie with Copics and Prisma Pencils and added Glamour Dust.  The papers are all Nitwits from the Possibilities Collection - Nitwits are having a sale this Friday and Saturday with 32.5% off everything so don't forget to check it out.  The sentiment is a Hero Arts wooden one I've had yonks.  I have done a fair bit of wet embossing too: - the hearts has been stamped with a Lili of the Valley music stamp and then embossed with White Seafoam EP, metal corner embellishment has been embossed using WOW Sparkling Snow EP and the lyre charm has been embossed using lilac EP.  I have used a Nellie Snellen die for the heart and Spellbinders for the sentiment banner.   The ribbon is from my stash although I think it came on a present and I snaffled it as you do!  I have followed the sketch at Papertake Weekly and also followed the photo inspiration over at The Paper Shelter which is this:

A Bit of Shabby Chic

Good morning everyone!  Well yesterday turned out to be another beautiful day in Blackpool no rain in sight!

Today's card has a touch of shabby chic to it I think.  Although I quite liked the card whilst I was making it now I'm not very sure about it!

The image is Lili of the Valley and has been coloured with Copics and Prismas with some Stickles added.  The papers are a mixture of First Edition Boho Chic and Prima Fairy Belle collection.  I have used loads of dies:
Spellbinders for the image and birdcage, Memory Box for the dandelion clock, Doohickey for the flower, Marianne for the ivy, bird and frame around the image and Woodware punch for the butterflies. My blooming sewing machine kept jamming so I had to take the thread out and just faux stitch around the edges.  I have added a lot of Picket Fence Distress Stain but you can just pick a bit out.  The gems, pearl brads and seam binding are all from my stash.  I would like to enter the following challenges:

Red White and Glue

Good morning everyone - have you got your wellies and sou'westers ready for the onslaught of rain that is expected?  Evidently we are going to get a month's worth of rain in the next five days lol!!!  I bet everyone who has a hosepipe ban are gnashing their teeth now!! We had a hosepipe ban in the northwest a couple of years ago and from the day it started it did nothing but rain.

Well today's card was really meant for yesterday as it was St George's Day but silly me forgot!!

Oh well better late than never I suppose!  The image is a digi from Pink Gem and I have coloured him with Copics,  Prisma Pencils and a touch of White Opaque Pen.  The papers are the new set from Nitwits and will be really handy with it being the Diamond Jubilee and the Olympics this year!! For the card I followed Dawny's sketch on Simon Says Stamp Challenge and also the sketch on A Gem of a Challenge. I have added Glossy Accents to his glasses, eyes and nose but I don't really think you can pick that up from this picture.  I have used Spellbinders to cut the image out and mat it and Spellbinders Star Circles for the Sentiment mat which is computer generated.  The stars from the sentiment mat I have stuck on the image as there are stars actually on the image.  The pennants are Dienamics and gems, ribbon and twine are from my stash.  I thought it would be ok for a man even though it has ribbon and gems on (ok maybe a man in touch with his feminine side then).  I would like to enter in the following challenges:

A Sunshine Card for a Dull Day

Good morning everyone and welcome to a new week.  Yesterday was so nice we sat out in the garden all afternoon and played games with the children.  I think we were lucky in Blackpool as we only had a bit of rain in the morning then the rest of the day was lovely sunshine and deep blue skies!! Looks a bit different today though!

So if you have not had any sunshine in your part of the world here is a card to bring you a bit:

Well she's certainly bright and happy!  I have used a design from Meljen's and they currently have a great sale on - buy one get one free!!  I have coloured her with my Copics and Prismas and added Stickles for some sparkle - you can't have a fairy without sparkle can you?  She has then been cut out with a Spellbinders Nestie.  The flowers are made with a Marianne die and are nestled on top of a Magnolia Doohickey die.  The doily is a Cheery Lynn French Pastry - gorgeous die!!  The papers are Bo Bunny from their Country Garden Collection.  I have distressed with Scattered Straw DI and gems are from my stash.  I would like to enter the following challenges:

Good Morning and happy Sunday to you all today!

Yesterday was a nice and relaxing day and managed to do two cards! It was a nice sunny day for most of the time here but a bit of a nippy chill.  I have made one of the cards following a sketch for the challenge at Simon Says Stamp Challenge and also A Gem of a Challenge so I better post that first before the challenges finishes lol:

Hmmm slightly crooked - I must have deleted the wrong one!!  I have used a gorgeous Paper Shelter image I am loving these cuties!!  I have coloured her with my Copics and Prisma Pencils and added lots of Glossy Accents to the water and bubbles and then covered the bubbles with Glamour Dust.  I have added some Art Institute glitter to her wings.  I have cut and matted her with Spellbinders using Lace Doily Motifs to mat her on.  I have used a Tonic punch for the border.  The papers are Nitwits and the bow, gem, velvet ric rac and gem 'relax' are all from my stash.  I would like to enter the following challenges:

Good morning and a happy Saturday to you all! It doesn't look too bad a day in Blackpool today, yesterday was a beautiful sunny day so fingers crossed for today!

Today I have a girlie card but no pink!!

She's Eleanor Mae Hatter from Little Miss Muffet stamps and I have coloured her with Copics and Prisma pencils.  I have added Glossy Accents to her boots because they reminded me of the ones we used to wear in the 60's/70's Wet Look - remember them????  I used to love them and had some thigh high ones (honestly that was the fashion then!!).  The papers are Pink Petticoat and the sentiment is from Crafty Sentiments.  I have added some Baby Blue Stickles around the edge of the sentiment and some Liquid Pearls in blue to her hat pin.  The ribbon, gems and heart are from my stash.  I would like to enter the following challenges:

Pattie's Creations - Photo Inspiration
Paper Crafting Journey - 3 or more DPs
Paper Pretties - Card for Girls
Crafty Sentiments - Use a Digi

I don't know if you remember but a few weeks ago I mentioned on my blog that Dawny P was asking for people to knit for the Fish and Chip babies in Africa.  Well I finally finished my top and beanie hat:

I kept thinking about the poor mite that would be wearing this and how lucky our children are.  I am getting it off today to Dawny P.

Well that's it for me for today hope you have a great weekend, I'll be back tomorrow and thanks for looking, take care xx

April Showers - Again!

Good morning everyone and it doesn't seem two minutes since I was saying Friday again and here we are back at the weekend!

Yesterday was pretty much a washout as far as weather was concerned it was pretty miserable and cold here in Blackpool I had to keep switching the heating up which is something I rarely did in winter! So on that theme I have got a rainy card for you:

Two little cuties splashing in the rain!  This image is from a Mabel Lucie Attwell CD that my DH bought me at Christmas (well I got it he paid for it!!) and this is the first time I have used it!  To tell the truth I was a bit disappointed with the CD it didn't have as many images as I thought it would.  It had stuff for decoupage, some backing papers and inserts which are funny sizes (mostly rectangle I think) so I can't really shrink them down for my square cards.  Anyway I thought it was about time I used some of the images especially as I had seen some nice rubber ones on Sue and Teresa's blog and before I was tempted to buy some rubber ones.  I do love these images they remind me of my childhood.  I have coloured the image with Copics and Prisma Pencils and then cut and matted with my Spellbinders.  The umbrella die is by Memory Box. I have added Glossy Accents to the raindrops not sure if you can see it on this picture. The sentiment is computer generated (Channel Font) and cut and embossed with Spellbinders Banner die.  The ribbon is from my stash.  Now the paper is years and years old I think one of the first paper stacks I bought and this is the first time I have used any of them.  They are by Papercraft 4 You and I probably got them from QVC, I am trying to use some old (vintage hehe) stock up!  I would like to enter the following challenges:

Digi Doodles - April Showers
Little Miss Muffet - April Showers
Mad for Markers - April Showers
Crafty Creations - Yellow and 1 other colour
Going Grey with Scrap Creations - April Showers
Shopping our Stash - April Showers
Stamp 'n Doodle - April Showers
Get Hippity with Ippity - Rain or Showers
Paper Creations Ink - April Showers
CardmadFairy's Digi Days - April Showers

That's it for me, I hope you all have a lovely day and thanks for looking and please leave a comment so I know you have been - take care xx

Sketch Time at Delightful

Good morning everyone! Well I can't tell you how relieved I am to have my blogger issues sorted!  Now I just have to get my dentist appointment behind me this morning and I will be on a roll Whoopee!!

Today sees the start of a brand new challenge over at Delightful Challenges and we have a sketch for you this week.  You know how I love making cards following a sketch it takes all the hard work out.  Here is what I made:

Yummy lots of lovely pinkiness going on here!  I have used the gorgeous Daisy by Wendy which you can purchase at Digital Delights.  I have coloured her with Copics and added some Glossy Accents to those beautiful big eyes!  I have cut and matted her with Spellbinders Nesties.  The gorgeous papers are also by Wendy called Sweetheart Digital paper and you can download them at Digital Delights also.  The sentiment is also by Wendy called Ticket Sentiments and they are so handy with different sentiments and also some blank ones so you can put your own sentiment in.  The borders have been cut with my Spellbinders Edgeabilities and the ribbon, charm and gems are from my stash.  Here is the sketch:

And what a fun sketch it was to work to, I really enjoyed it.  If you would like to join in why don't you pop over to Digital Delights and have a look?  There is currently a Spring Fling sale on with up to 70% off selected products and the images are a joy to colour.  However, if you are not into colouring or you are pushed for time the images also come in a coloured format too - how easy is that??

We are sponsored this week by:

who have kindly donated a lovely Spring stamp for the lucky winner.  You don't have to use a Digital Delights stamp to enter (but we love it if you do and you will have two entries) so why don't you pop over to Delightful Challenge for some fab inspiration from the talented team?  I would like to enter the following challenges:

Creative Belli - Children
Inky Impressions - Birthday
Paper Pretties - Card For Girls
Ribbon Carousel - Use Bright Colours
Top Tip Tuesday - Spotty, Dotty
Sentimental Sundays - Frame It
Card Makin' Mamas - Getting Girlie
Polka Doodles - Pretty in Pink

That's it for me for today.  The dreaded dentist later (I am his worst patient he told me) and I have to take a sleeping pill before I go so that is the rest of the day done for me!! See you tomorrow and take care xx

A Big Thank you!

Just a quick post to say a big thank you to Dark UFO from the Blogger Help Forum. I posted this morning to see if anyone could help with my blogger problem and he very quickly replied. Evidently it was caused by a Widget so I just had to find the guilty one and delete it. It was quite easy as I realised it must have been a recent one which it was. Hurray problem solved! So if anyone has blogger problems I would recommend posting on the forum. Thanks for all your help everyone and for Coops and Christine for their help xx

Blogger Trouble!!

Good morning everyone another rainy day in Blackpool!  More rain today although yesterday turned out to be nice and sunny so fingers crossed for today!!

Evidently a lot of people can't view my blog so this morning I went on my husband's computer and tried through Google Chrome and I couldn't get on either it said something about Aw Snap (something like that I've already forgotten!!).  But when I looked at my address in the bar above the www. wasn't in it so I typed that in and then I got in ok.  Does anyone know how I can amend it so when my address goes in the www. is included also? I'd be grateful to know as I am not that hot at computers lol!!

Here is today's card:

This cute image is another I won at Di's Digi Designs and I have coloured him with my Copics and a touch of Prismas.  I have added Art Institute Glitter.  The image has been cut and matted using Spellbinders Nesties and a Memory Box Die for the dandelion clock.  The papers are First Edition from the Dreamcatcher Pad.  The metal butterfly is from Wild Orchid Crafts and I have embossed it with some lilac EP.  I have stitched around the edges I think my sewing machine got all excited when I got it out and thought I was going to do some real sewing!!  Ribbon is from my stash.  I would like to enter the following challenges:

Bearly Mine - Embossing
Die Cuttin' Divas - Gardens
Papertake Weekly - Add Stitching
Sassy Cheryl's - Butterflies
Paper Pretties - Embossing
Pollycraft - Cute Critters
Robyn's Fetish - Spring Image
Card Positioning Systems - Sketch
Oldie But a Goodie - On the Farm or In the Garden (Old things used - Ribbon, Nesties, butterfly and EP)

That's it for me.  I would appreciate any help with my problem if anyone knows of anything!!  Thanks so much for looking for those who can and please leave a comment!  See you tomorrow, take care xx

Walk Like an Egyptian

Good morning everyone!  What a lovely day it was yesterday so much sunshine but quite cold and today - yuck, lots of rain!

Without further ado here is my card I made for today:

I was browsing yesterday and came across this digi image at The Paper Shelter and it just fell into my basket along with some others!!  They have some really lovely images and I don't think it will be long before I visit them again.  I have coloured her with Prisma Pencils and added some Twinkling H2Os for a bit of sheen, its been ages since I used those.  I decided not to use any DPs but used some card from Kanban and some adhesive strips from Kanban which I have had years.  I cut and matted the image with Spellbinders and just added some faceted black gems to the side which I have also had for years and years I think my sister bought me them and they may have come from Paperchase.  I would like to enter the following challenges:

Craft Your Passion - Punches and Die cuts
Incy Wincy Designs - Digis Only
Paper Sundaes - Anything Goes
Sweet Stampin' - Girly but no Pink
Totally Gorjuss - Bling
Do You Stack Up? - Glitter/Bling
Deep Ocean - Song Inspiration (Bangles/"Walk Like an Egyptian")
Paperminutes - Newest Stamps

That's it for me today as it is so miserable there will be nothing much to do apart from craft!!  Thanks for looking and please leave a comment so that I know you have been and can visit you.  Take care xx

Punches and Dies

Good morning everyone!  Today sees the start of a new Challenge over at Lexi's Creations and the theme this week is:

PUNCHES AND DIES

So get your Cuttlebugs, Big Shot and Grand Caliburs out and get cracking with your die cuts!  Of course if you don't have those then you need to get cracking with all your lovely punches you've got stashed away - Martha Stewart, Woodware, Tonic and so on - I think you all get the picture now lol!!  Here is what I have made:

I have used the lovely Mummybug by Lexi which you can get here at Fairy Dust Crafts. I have cut and matted using Spellbinders rectangles dies.  The corner dies are Cuttlebug.  The flower is Spellbinders, cloud is Memory Box Die, the butterflies are a Woodward punch and the border is Nellie Snellen die (I think). Plenty of dies and punches there I think!!  The papers are a mixture of Pink Petticoat digis and Echo Park Yours Truly.  I have coloured Mummybug with Copics and Prisma Pencils and added a bit of Glossy Accents to the dew drop.  This week we are sponsored by:

Who will kindly give the lucky winner 5 images of their choice!!

So pop over to Lexi's now and see what the talented team have come up with and then get your punches and dies out and get punching!!

I would like to enter the following challenges:

Craft Your Passion - Punches and Die Cuts
Crafty Boots - No Girls Allowed
Black and White and Touch of Red - Gingerloft

I'd also like to welcome my new followers and send them a big thank you and warm welcome!!  Coops has brought it to my attention that she cannot view my blog everytime she just gets a white screen - I really don't know what is going on there but if anyone else has had similiar problems I'd be interested in finding out.  Also, if anyone knows the solution I would be really grateful!  That's it from me for today, see you tomorrow - take care xx

Shall We Dance?

Good morning bloggers hope everyone is ok.

If you went to Ally Pally or are going today I hope you had/have a great time and don't spend too much (not much point in going in that case, lol)!  I have got a girlie card today with lots of pink and some glitz and bling:

Reminds me of when I used to take Stacey my daughter to ballet in her little pink leotard!  The cute little image is a rubber stamp from Little Darlings which I recently won - thank you! Again I have used a sketch to make my card - so much easier! I have coloured with a mixture of Copics and Prisma Pencils and added some Glossy Accents to their eyes and Stickles to their tutus.  The papers are First Edition from Birdsong.  I have embossed some White Pearl card and distressed the edges with Victorian Velvet DI.  The image has been cut and matted with Spellbinders, border with X Cut die, Corner with Cuttlebug die and the heart with Nellie Snellen die.  The cameo is from Wild Orchid and ribbon and gems from stash.

I would like to enter the following challenges:

Truly Scrumptious - Sketch

More Spring Flowers

Good morning bloggers and a happy weekend to you all!! I hope you all enjoy your weekend and those that are going to Ally Pally have a fab time and get loads of goodies!!

Today I have a card I made a while ago when I was first experimenting with my Prisma Pencils:

Its just a simple card mad with an image I have had for ages a wooden stamp by Personal Impressions.  Coloured with my Prismas and some Pink Petticoat dotted paper.  All die cuts are Spellbinders and the sentiment is computer generated.

I think we will be having a quiet weekend and hopefully I will be able to catch up on some crafting as I haven't had that much time to do so much this week with one thing and another!  I hope you all have a lovely weekend and thank you so much for visiting my blog and it is always so nice to read comments so please leave one if you have been!  Take care xx

So get out your machine, needle, paper piercer or pen and add some stitching to your creations!  Here is what I have made:

I think this card would be ideal for a boy - I do find these hard to do sometimes as I always want to add girlie embellishments to my card!  Out came my trusty old sewing machine for a bit of stitching around the image and then zig zag around the card.  I have used the cute Birthday Pippin along with Ticket Sentiments which you can get here at Digital Delights.  These images are so much fun to colour in, I have coloured mine with Copics and added some Stickles to the stars.  I have matted him on a Spellbinders and used MFT Dienamics Dies for the banner and stars.  The papers are from a DCWV Citrus Stack which I have had for years and years.  This week we are being sponsored by:

who have kindly donated a $20 store gift card to the lucky winner!  So get yourself over to Delightful Challenge and see what my talented team mates have made.

I would like to enter the following challenges:

Digital Tuesday - Birthdays
Ladybug Crafts Ink - Shapes
Shopping our Stash - Masculine Theme/Boy
Critter Sketch - Critters
Paper Makeup Stamps - Bright Colours
Incy Wincy - Cute Critters
Love to Create - Birthday
Frosted Designs - Use Banners
Stempelsonne - Happy Birthday + Die Cut
My Mum's Craft Shop - Celebration

Criss Cross Card

Good morning everyone and hope you all had a lovely Easter weekend and are not suffering from a chocolate overload today!  This is a planned post as I have stayed overnight at my daughter's to go with her to Manchester today to see a specialist, so fingers crossed that Mr Blogger is playing along!!

I have made a criss cross card today:

I do like making these I don't know why but they are easy and are a bit different from a normal fold card without being very complicated.  I have used a Lili of the Valley image and coloured with Copics and Prisma pencils.  The edge has been distressed with Milled Lavender DI and then cut and matted with Spellbinders Nesties.  The papers are Nitwits "Gratitude" which is a really pretty set.  The bird cage is a Spellbinders die and that has been inked with DI as well.  The Baker's Twine and button are from my stash.  The butterfly is a Magnolia Doohickey die and I have added Stickles to that and the image.  Flowers, pin and ribbon from my stash.  Here is a picture of the inside:

I have merged the tag from the Nitwit Gratitude collection onto the paper and added a computer generated sentiment.  The heart is a Martha Stewart PATP.  I would like to enter the following challenges:

Lili's Little Fairies - Ribbons Buttons and Bows
Crafty Sentiments - Spring Challenge
Die Cuttin Divas - Pastels and Die cut (Bird cage and Butterfly)
Digital Tuesday Challenge - Birthdays (I used Digital Papers by Nitwits)
Paper Minutes - Spring Flowers
Twisted Tuesday - I Never Promised you a Rose Garden
Bunny Zoe's - Ribbon or Twine
Love to Create - Birthday
My Grafico - Buttons and Bows
Paper Pretties - Use Two or More Designer Papers

Well hopefully you will be seeing this post on Tuesday and I will catch up with you all when I get back, thanks for looking and take care xx

Happy Easter and Bottoms Up!!

Good morning and a Happy Easter to you all - may you have a day full of chocolateness wherever you are! I think mine will be chocolate free unless I can manage to get some of these mini eggs off my screen lol! We are going to my daughter and her partner's today for dinner so I am looking forward to that.

Today I have something a bit different from a card to show.  As we are going to my daughter's today and then my sister's today I made a little something to go on the wine we will take.  MFT dienamics have new dies out and one is to make a wine collar, I do not have the dies but I thought what a good idea and just made some free hand.  These are my first attempt:

I was quite pleased with my first attempt and thought they just brightened up the bottles a bit.  Here is a close up of the one I made for my daughter:

I have used Nitwits paper and Spellbinders dies.  The sentiment is computer generated and the flower is Wild Orchid.  Brad and ribbon from stash.

Here is a close up of the one I made for my sister:

I have used Kraft Paper and some card stock and a freebie paper from a magazine (I think HOTP).  The sentiment is computer generated and I made a rosette and used Edgeabilities for the border on the rosette and also on the top of the collar.  The die cuts are made with a Spellbinders die and I have used an Inkadinkado stamp for the background. I will enter the following challenges:

Craft us Crazy - Anything but a Card
DRS Designs - Food and Drink
Simon Says Stamp - Favourite Tool (that's right Big Shop Pro!!)
365 Cards - Cheers
I Brake For - Anything but a Card
Papertake Weekly - Anything Goes

Well I have started my top for my little fish and chip baby.  I only started it at about 9:30 last night but I am quite pleased with my progress so far I will post a picture when I finish.  If you want to help these poor little babies in Africa please pop over to Dawny P's blog here to see how easy it is to help.

Hope you all have a lovely Easter Sunday whatever you are doing and wherever you are - take care xx

Insomnia!

Good morning bloggers its now 0500 in the morning, I have been up half an hour and awake since 0200 so I thought I might as well do my post for today!!  I had to get up before Dave killed me as I was so fidgety and couldn't get Cliff Richard's song Wired for Sound out of my head - where did that come from lol??!!!  So I  am sat here with a cup of tea (less caffeine than coffee) hoping I will get tired and can then go back to bed for an hour.

Today's card is one my daughter asked me to do for a work colleague that is leaving.  I looked all over for a digi that was suitable but couldn't find one for someone leaving work but I found this one that I guess is for someone going away on holiday or a trip:

Seem to have taken this picture from a funny angle!  The image is a Lilyboo design from Cuddly Buddy and I have coloured her with Copics and Prisma Pencils.  The hair was supposed to be a dirty blonde but looks more like a red head don't know what happened there! The papers are Nitwits "Time for Tea" and the sentiment is computer generated.  I have used Spellbinders for the matting and banner.  Gems and ribbon are from my stash and the resin flower is from Teresa's My Crafty Heart (free p and p this weekend).  Quick peek at the inside:

I would like to enter the following challenges:

Simon Says Stamp - Favourite Tool (Big Shot Pro)
One Stop Craft - Photo Inspiration and Die Cuts
Fairy Fun Fridays - Anything Goes
Little Miss Muffet - Spring Colours (Pastels)
Whimsy Stamps - Use Ribbon
Pretty Little Ribbon - To Die For and Use Ribbon
Papertake Weekly - Anything Goes
Sassy Cheryl's - Soft Pastels
The Stamping Boutique - Pastels
Tuesday Throwdown - Pastels

Well that's it for me for today - thanks for looking and take care xx

Added on:

I have just been blog hopping (as you do in the early hours) and seen on Dawny P's blog about the poor children in Africa that have nothing and when they are born they are sent home in newspaper so they are called the fish and chip babies.  Dawny P is asking for people to knit a very simple all done in one piece cardigan and a beanie hat for them.  The pattern is on her blog with the details here, you should be able to knit it in an evening even if you are not that proficient a knitter.

Today's card is all about Spring I have made it for my daughter as a Spring/Easter card:

Fantasy at Delightful!

Good morning bloggers and today sees the start of a new challenge over at Delightful Challenge with the theme of:

FANTASY

And it also sees the release of a new stamp set by Wendy over at Digital Delights entitled Delightful Oz.  I have used some of the new digital stamps from this fabulous new set:

Yes we're off to see the Wizard just follow the yellow brick road (now I'm singing that song in my head lol).   I have used Tinny Tin and coloured him with Prisma Pencils.  The background is Delightful Oz and comes pre-coloured if you wish so it makes it a lot easier and its the same price as non-coloured!  I have used the sentiment set from Oz.  I have added some Spica pens to the rainbow to make it glittery which you can just about see.  I made an easel card so I could carry on the yellow brick road on the base.  I used my Marianne fence die, Nellie Snellen Heart die and Woodware flower punch with some Card Candy that I coloured with my Copics.  I cut Tinny Tin out and added him to the background with foam dots just so he would 'pop' a bit!  This week we are sponsored by the fab:

and they have generously donated $45 to be spent on in store images.  So get over to Delightful Challenge and see what my talented team mates have created with the fab new Delightful Oz range!  And make sure you get your entries in to be in with a chance to win this fabulous prize!  No fantasy stamps?  That's ok Wendy has plenty over at Digital Delights and they are so reasonably priced you'll want them all!! Pop over to Digital Delights and you'll be surprised at how many will fall into your basket!!  Happy crafting!!

That's it from me for today, thanks for visiting and take care xx

What a trio!

Good morning everyone.  Gosh isn't it cold?  I could not get warm yesterday no matter how much I was wearing - what a change from a week ago?  And when we left bridge last night there were a few flakes of snow swirling around although there is nothing today just wind and more cold!!

For today's card I have used a cute little image from Wags 'n' Whiskers:

Haha they are a motley crew if ever I saw one!!  They have been coloured in Copics and Prismas, I did the middle on to look a bit like Harry but he has come out a bit bright lol!! The papers are by K and Co.  I have used my Marianne swirl and the flowers are Prima. Gems and feathers from stash.  I would like to enter the following challenges:

Simon Says Stamp - Favourite Tool (definitely my Big Shot Pro!!)
Wags 'n' Whiskers - Say it with Flowers
City Crafter - Hats off to You
Papertake Weekly - Anything Goes
Party Time Tuesday's Challenge - Flowers
Pattie's Creations - Anything Goes
Stampin' for the Weekend - Anything Goes
Moving along with the Times - Cute 'n' Cuddly
My Mum's Craft Shop - Easter and/or Animals

We are off to Lancaster later today but I know there is quite a bit of snow forecast so I hope we avoid it!! Hope you are all warm and snug wherever you are.  Thanks so much for looking and any comments you may leave.  A big welcome and thank you to my new followers - take care xx

Good afternoon - this is my second post today. This morning I saw a challenge on Forever Night with the theme of Monster High which is Emma's favourite thing at the moment.  She has got loads of the dolls and is always talking about it.  The challenge is for under 16's so Emma being 8, just had to enter.  Here she is with her card:

and here is the card she made:

Emma has coloured the Tiddlyinks image with Prisma Pencils.  Paper and ribbon from my stash. I wish Emma good luck with her challenge!!

Challenge entered:

Forever Night Challenge - Monster High
Dilly Bean's - Skulls and Skeletons

Make a Wish

Good morning everyone - did you get any snow?  Hope you are all tucked up nice and warm lol!

Here is a card I made yesterday:

For this card I followed a sketch over at Card Patterns. I have used another cute digi image from Wee Stamps and coloured her with Copics and Prisma Pencils.  The papers are by Prima called Madeline.  I have used a Cheery Lynn die to cut out the doily behind the image - not sure if you can tell its a doily in the picture but it is!! I have used my Tonic border punch for the border and Spellbinders for the sentiment which is a digi by Crafty Sentiments. The wee butterflies are made using my Woodware punch and I have embossed them and the corner filigree with my new Aged Aqua Embossing Enamel by Stampendous (lush wish I'd got more at the NEC!!). The cameo, flowers and corner are all from Wild Orchid Crafts and ribbon is from stash.  I would like to enter the following challenges:

Sentiment Only

Good morning bloggers!  Today sees the start of a new challenge over at Lexi's Creations and the theme for this challenge is to use a Sentiment Only!  Here is my card for the challenge:

I have used a beautiful sentiment from Fairydust Crafts called Precious and Few.  I have cut it out using my Spellbinders Labels die (can't remember which number lol).  I have used gold mirri card and my Spellbinders Ironworks motifs for the border and around the sentiment.  I have used my script embossing folder for the background and the ribbon is from my stash.  I think sentiment only cards make a lovely statement and they are not too difficult as there is no colouring involved!  So for those of you who may not like colouring this would be an ideal challenge to enter.  If you pop over to Fairydust Crafts there are a lot of really pretty sentiments you could use and enter the challenge over at Lexi's.  We are sponsored this week by Cropstop.com and the lucky winner will win a $15 gift certificate!

Please pop over to Lexi's and see what my talented team mates have come up with for some inspiration - we would love to see your creations!

Thanks for looking and take care xx
