Time for a Sketch

Good morning bloggers and Happy Friday to all you workers - they sure roll round quick don't they?  Stacey, my daughter and I, are setting off to London this morning to spend some time with my grandson Harrison, son and daughter in law.  The new baby is due in 16 days and Melissa is having a 'sweep' today so you never know......!!

Today I have made a card following the sketch over at  Sketch Saturday , I love following sketches as I have said so many times its just so easy peasy! Of course its a Christmas card - not long now!!

The image is Hero Arts and has been coloured with Copics and Stickles added for some sparkle! I have gone around the edge of the image with chalks whilst it was still in the die.  The papers are MME "Merry" and Coredinations cardstock.  The sentiment on the front is a Crafter's Companion one which came free in a set with a magazine.  I have used another sentiment on the inside which, I think, is Penny Black. My craft room is so messy I keep loosing things I am really going to have to have a major sort out ...... maybe in the New Year lol! Here is a picture of the inside:

I am trying to make some post friendly cards without too much in the way of embellishments on them.  I posted one today and it was 90p!! It only had a felt flower on it well okay quite a few layers but still!!!
I hope it is ok for the challenge as I moved the sentiment.

Sketch Saturday - Sketch

Well I will try and get round a few of you before I go, other wise it will be after the weekend.  I hope you are all having a good weekend, thanks for looking and take care xx

Wow Susie all this travelling around and you are still managing to keep up with your blog and comments - I am impressed! I love the card, I so must use that technique of inking whilst the die is still in place more. I now only post cards without layers or embellishments and they are still expensive (and for some reason still take me hours to do! cant win!). Have a lovely time in London.

Super cute! FABulous colours and I LOve the design. Know what you mean lol about posting! Trouble is. It's hard to leave embellishment off! Might make a lot of CAS cards next year..that might help.

Fabulous card Susan, love the image, so cute, and love the papers and design too..I know the postage is awful, I went to post an envelope with a few die cuts inside, not puffy, and they were going to charge me $11 NZ dollars to send it parcel post..I was so shocked..and dreading what my csrds will cost this year...better get going on CAS cards I think..lol..

Hi again Susan - I am so with you on using sketches. I have so much trouble getting paper to go with image, making sure the image sits right with the papers etc etc. When I found out about these sketches I was chuffed to bits. They certainly help me out, even if I don't use all of the sketch, it may only be needed to start me off!!!

I love your colours on this one with these gorgeous backing papers. Beautiful image as well.

This is such a pretty card Susan, sweet image and lovely papers, you were right not to over embellish - the papers are so pretty you wouldn't want to cover them up.
