Delightful Thursday

A scheduled post from me today as I am in Spain with a friend at her house so apologies for not getting around to visit you as there will not be any WIFI.

Over at Digital Delights it is time for the DT to showcase some of the wonderful images available at the shop, here is my contribution:

I have used an image called Crab which is available here.  I coloured the image with my Copics and went for a fairly simple design using my Dienamics Blueprints 20 - did I say I think I'm getting addicted to these now I am forcing myself to use them? The sentiment is available here. The card stock is from Papermill Direct.

Please go over to the blog and have a look at the rest of the DT's wonderful creations.

Thank you so much for looking and your lovely comments. I will catch up with you all on my return!

Hello there and a big welcome to my blog! Thank you so much for calling by and also the lovely comments you leave.  I am back from London quite exhausted after playing Pirates, rugby and running races lol!! Boys never seem to want to just sit down and colour!

Onto my card today its is from the new releases at Beccy's called Iris Garden:

Now I don't know what my camera was playing at but all the purples do match on the card its just that the camera, which supposedly never lies, decided to show them all as different!  The Papers are Nitwits and I have used the sentiment that comes with the set.  For my card base I used Cheery Lynn Reflections Mini Pearl Square Mega Doily (quite a mouthful).  I cut the image out with Dienamics Stitched Rectangles and used Spellbinders Long Scalloped Rectangles to mat.  The sentiment was cut and matted using Dienamics Fishtail Stax.  Ribbon and flower from my stash.

Delightful Thursday

Hello there and thank you so much for your lovely comments yesterday.  Yes I had to tidy up again after Rowan had left - everything out of the cupboards and gorgeous little sticky fingerprints everywhere!! I am off down to London tomorrow to see my two other bundles of gorgeousness I can't wait. I am going by train this time as I don't really like long drives on the motorway in the dark and I also worry in case it snows so I go by train in the winter.  Got my first class ticket all booked, its great if you book in advance and I have my 'senior' railcard so get 30% off I got a real bargain. Just have to hope there aren't any leaves on the track lol!

Today is time for another Delightful Thursday where the DT over on the Digital Delights Blog showcase some of the fabulous images Wendy has to offer in her store:

I used Hearty Fish available here and she is half price at the moment! I printed her out twice, flipping one of the images (get me with my flipping, that's about the most technical thing I can do on the computer).  I coloured them with Copics.  The sentiment is from the Licence Plate Love Sentiment Set which is available here and that, too, is reduced! The papers are Nitwits Love Struck.  The little hearts are from Impression Obsession covered with Glamour Dust.  I also put Glamour Dust all around the edge of the mat underneath the image, I am so in love with Glamour Dust at the moment the sparkle on it is so beautiful! I used Dienamics Photo Corners, Pierced Oval and Oval Stax.  The little pearl hearts are from The Hobby House. Again, I followed a sketch this time from Sketchy Colors.

Please have a look at the Digital Delights Blog because the DT are so very talented and have loads of inspiration there for you to mooch over.

Challenges I would like to enter:

Sketchy Colors - Sketch
Glitter n Sparkle - Love is in the Air
One Stitch at a Time - Anything Goes with Love
Creative Card Crew - Glitter (loads of Glamour Dust on)
Digi Chooseday - Love is in the Air

Well I am off now to catch up with you all and then I am taking my Aunt out for our weekly jaunt. Have a wonderful day whatever you do and thank you so much for looking!

Flutterby

A big hello and welcome to my blog thank you so much for calling by!  Quite a few of the challenges I was on the Design Team for have closed down and I decided not to take on anymore for the time being. This was because I just don't have as much time to craft as I used to and also to give me more time to craft for myself so to speak.  So today's card is one I made using the sketch on Sketch Saturday because I just love sketches!

The image is by Little Claire and I stamped it in Versafine.  The digital papers are by Meghan Mullens called Fly available from The Sweet Shoppe. I followed this weeks sketch from Sketch Saturday and I do find making a card so easy when you follow a sketch! If you haven't tried it you really should have a go.  The border is from Dienamics Blueprint 14 and I have also used Dienamics for the sentiment, image and mat.  The butterfly is Impression Obsession.

Here is the sketch I pretty much followed to the T:

Challenges I would like to enter:

Sketch Saturday - Sketch 347
Crafting From the Heart - Anything Goes
Craft Your Passion - Anything Goes
Incy Wincy Designs - Punch or Die Cut
My Craft Creations - Anything Goes

My daughter and Rowan are coming around today so I best get cracking and whizz around the house with the duster, mop and vacuum! Thank you so much for looking today and the lovely comments you leave - see you soon!

Such a cutie, coloured with my Copics and cut out with Dienamics Pierced Oval Stax dies and matted using Dienamics Oval Stax dies.  The embossing folder is Spellbinders and the border and card front is made using my Dienamics Blueprints 6 dies.  The love hearts are a Marianne die and stamp.

I think there may be one or two love challenges around (can't think why) that I would like to enter:

A Piece Of Cake

A big hello and I hope your weekend is going well. I have a little slightly CAS card to share today.  I have bought about 5 of the Dienamics Blueprints die sets and never seem to use them so I am determined to start using them.  The only problem is that the cards I make usually are just under 6" square and so are all my envelopes so I will have to get some different sized envelopes ordered.

This was made with my new Blueprints 22 and the sentiment was stamped onto a banner from Blueprints 2.  The mat behind the image is Pinking Edge Stax by Dienamics. The stamp set is by Lawn Fawn and I coloured it with my Copics.  The spotted paper is from Bo Bunny.

Here is a side view:

A close up of the little 'clip' die, I put some foam tape between it to make it look like a clip:

Challenges I would like to enter:

Crafts Galore - Use a Stamp or a Digi
Crafty Catz - Birthdays
Crafter's Cafe - Birthday
Fan-Tastic Tuesday - Anything Goes with Purple

Have you anything nice planned for your Sunday? We will be doing our housework and then my Daughter, her partner and Rowan are coming over this afternoon for dinner. Slow cooked belly pork in cider with apples and sage so best get cracking!  Thank you so much for looking today and the lovely comments you leave, have a wonderful day.

How YOU Doin'???

Hello and welcome to my blog so lovely to see you here. My daughter and Rowan are coming over today so I am scheduling this so I can fit a quick swim in before they get here.

Today sees a new challenge at The Paper Shelter and the theme this week is Be My Valentine.  I have used the super cute How You Doin digi which always reminds me of Joey in Friends saying How YOU doin!

As I said, this digi is called How You Doin and is available here. Don't forget that with The Paper Shelter images you get them both in black and white and coloured form along with a layout so excellent value.  I coloured my image using my Copics.  The papers are Nitwits.  I used a Martha Stewart border punch, Whimsy corner dies and I think the heart is Dienamics from the Hearts a Plenty set.

As usual there is a fabulous prize up for the lucky winner:

Hoping to get back later and enter the following challenges:

Cuttlebug Mania - I (Heart) You
Bunny Zoes - Hearts
Card Mania - Add Some Red

I have used an image from our sponsor this month Kenny K who kindly gave us an image - thank you!  The image is called Lil Angel and Devil and I had fun colouring it with my Copics and lots of Glamour Dust on the wings.  The papers are digital and are available here from Buckwells in CD form I used Micro Dots and Love Rush. I covered the Love Rush with Little Claire's adhesive glitter sparkle to add some glitz.  I used Martha Stewart PATP heart punch for the border.  The ribbon is also from Buckwells, Bordeaux Organza Ribbon available here.

Here is a better picture showing the glittered paper:
