Delightful Thursday

Good morning and a big welcome to my blog.  When I got up at 0600 I looked out the window to see if we had snow but nothing there just so windy.  Now I am up in my garrett and I could hear the rain lashing down and when I peeked out the window it wasn't rain but snow! We hardly ever get snow here so its quite exciting.  The only trouble is I take my Aunt out on a Thursday and she is in a wheelchair so I am hoping it is gone by 11:30!   Anyway, the reason I am here today is to celebrate Thursday with a Delightful Thursday over on the Digital Delights Blog.  This is when the Design Team come up with some inspiration using some of Wendy's fabulous images available at the Digital Delights Store. Hostess Monday

Hello and a big welcome to my blog and I hope you had a lovely weekend. I can't believe this is the last week in January already.

Today it is my turn to do Hostess Monday on the Digital Delights Blog. I have gone for a bit of a jungle theme:

This cutie is Cupcake Timmy and he is available here and I teamed him up with a sentiment from the Birthday Sentiment Set which is available here.  I coloured Timmy with my Copics and added Stardust Stickles to the frosting.  The digital papers are from Daisie Company I saw them on Jacee's blog and fell in love with them. I used my Spellbinders for the sentiment and to make the aperture and frame and the leaves are a Memory Box die.  I used distress inks on the sentiment.

Challenges I would like to enter:

Robyn's Fetish - Animals
Open Minded Crafting - Movie Inspiration (Jungle Book)
Winter Wonderland - Only one Design Paper
Cuttlebug Mania - Wildlife

Thank you so much for looking and if you have left me a comment a big thank you too!

Tell It To The Trees

Good morning, I hope you are all enjoying your weekend.  We are having a quiet one this weekend.  Nice and lazy yesterday but not today! Housework to be done in a bit and then I will go around to my Aunt's house and do hers too.  I am hoping to fit an hour or two of crafty time in at least I won't have to cook dinner as we will be having our Sunday roast at the pub!

Here is my last card for January showing the new release images that are available at Beccy's Place.  This one is called Tell It To The Trees:

Quite a CAS design for me just printed the tree and sentiment straight onto the card and added some pearls.  Double matted on black and Kraft card from The Papermill.

All Wrapped Up

A big welcome to my blog today, thank you for calling by.  I hope your week is going well. It has been very cold here in the Northwest, no snow where we are but as we are on the coast we don't really see much of the white stuff here.

We have a new challenge at The Paper Shelter and the theme this week is All Wrapped Up.  I see that as being either all wrapped up with clothes or blankets or perhaps all wrapped up as in presents i.e. gift wrap or maybe it could be a couple of animals or people wrapped up together - lots of possibilities.

I used Enchanted Dream available here.  The birds are going to wrap her up in the blanket so I thought it was a good image for the theme.

Items Used:
Enchanted Dream Image by The Paper Shelter
Copics

Retail Therapy

Hello and I hope you all had a lovely weekend.  We did - it was very snowy and foggy over at my Daughter's house but all clear once we got back home just very cold.  I'd like to extend a big welcome to my latest follower Erin, so pleased to see you!

I have a card made from one of the new images that are available this month at Beccy's Place and this set is called Retail Therapy.

I went for a centre step card for a change.  The papers are digital but are scraps so I don't know the name but I am quite pleased with myself for using scraps!!  I coloured the image with my Copics and used Dienamics Pierced Rectangle Stax to cut her out.  The button and fishtail were made using Dienamics dies and I triple embossed the button with clear embossing powder. Twine and sequins are from Doodlebug.

This is what you get in the set:

Challenges I would like to enter:

Here's One I Made Earlier

Hello there and a big welcome to my blog.  I have found a few cards in my New Cards folder that I have not posted before - I did have to check through my blog to be double sure!

I have used a Hero Arts Stamp for this one and stamped the colours straight to the stamp if you know what I mean. Its really bugging me that I have no idea where that thanks has come from - I am going to have to go and have a look ..... hold on .................... ahhhh it's a Memory Box die which I had no idea I possessed!!

Challenges I would like to enter:

Fussy and Fancy - Swirls and Pearls
City Crafter - Mostly White
PDE Linky Party - Blue and White
Die Cuttin' Divas - Picture Challenge (I used the colours)

Have you anything nice planned for the weekend?  We are doing housework in a minute then some shopping (food) and then we are going over to my Daughter's and her partner's house this afternoon. Dave is helping them with a few jobs whilst I play with Rowan and we are staying over and having a meal with them.  I do hope it stays fine as snow is forecast and they live in land where they are more likely to have snow - fingers crossed.

Thank you so much for looking and the wonderful comments you leave.

One Layer Nightmare

Hello there and welcome to my blog. A really quick post today I am off swimming before the rush lol!

I thought I would try my hand at the challenge over at Less is More which this week is One Layer with the theme New Beginnings. Now you think one layer there is not much that can go wrong with that - hah!! This is my third attempt and I have since thought of a good idea that I wish I had tried (mind you this seemed a good idea until I tried it)!

I decided to do a Wedding Card and used the new heart die that my daughter got me at Christmas - bless her she thought you only used them once and that was it!  I embossed it on some white linen card stock and then used silver embossing powder for the sentiment and hearts which are from Waltzingmouse stamps.

Challenges I would like to enter:

Less is More - One Layer
Papertake Weekly - Its All New - I tried a new technique - one layer card

Thank you so much for looking and the lovely comments you leave,

Petite Fleur

Hello and a big welcome to my blog.  I have a card today to share using one of the new images from Beccy's Place called Petite Fleur:

I coloured my image with Copics and used Dienamics Stitched Ovals to cut out.  I then layered it onto Spellbinders Floral Ovals.  I embossed some Centura Pearl card using a Spellbinders M-Bossability folder and then used a Spellbinder die on the edge.  I am pretty sure the papers are Wild Rose Studio.  The sentiment comes with the set.

Here is what you get in the set (along with uncoloured images too):

I am having to dash as I am off to Pilates but thank you so much for looking and the wonderful comments you leave.

Batten Down The Hatches!

Gosh its so windy here this morning, I am up here in my crafty garret with the wind howling away.  I think it will just have to be a crafty day lol.  Well actually it will be a day spent in my craft room but I don't think any crafting will be done as I really have to have a major clean up!  I have now got to the stage where I can't move anything around to craft so I have to craft on top of stuff!!

I have a card to share today that I made 11 months ago when I was on Crafty Sentiments Design Team.  Its a new stamp and the card was made as a sample for Create and Craft.  I now believe they have had their airing on Create and Craft so I can show the card to you:

The image is called Isobel - Onesie by Crafty Sentiments.  I used my Grand Nesties to cut the shape out.  Now I wish I knew which dies I used to cut out the scalloped circle in the middle - its really got me foxed and hopefully I can discover which one when I have my clear out!  I know the flowers are Joycraft and the banner is La La Land.

Challenges I would like to enter:

Sister Act - Anything Goes
Stempelsonne - Anything Goes with Hand Coloured image
In The Pink - Anything Goes with Pink
Crafts Galore - Anything Goes
Die Cut Divas - Anything Goes

Well thank you so much for looking - I am off to get another coffee and have a look at what you have all been up to!

Winter Blues

A big hello to you and thank you for coming! I think things are gradually getting back to normal.  We have now taken all the decorations and trees down, it took two nights and everything looks very bare and big now! I had a wonderful Christmas my daughter, her partner and Rowan stayed over Christmas for three nights so it was lovely to have them.  Rowan is now crawling everywhere and standing up with the furniture, I can't believe he will be 9 months on Friday!  Then my son and two grandsons came up for New Year and I looked after them for a few nights whilst Dad and Mum went off - great fun!  Everything seems very quiet now although my daughter and Rowan are coming over today.

Over at The Paper Shelter we have our first challenge for 2015 and the theme is Winter Blues.  We want to see shades of blue so here is what I did:

I used the little lady from Give Me A Kiss available here.  She actually comes with a little man but I just used her and I used the pre-coloured one too.  My card was made using Go Kreate XXL Frilly Frames 10 and the papers are First Edition Up Up and Away.  La La Land Banner, Spellbinders Tear Drop Circle (think that's what its called), Dienamics Pierced Circle, Sue Wilson Bows made with felt, Cheery Lynn tag and Clearly Besotted sentiment.

As usual there is a fabulous prize for the lucky winner:

Please head over to The Paper Shelter Blog to see the rest of the DT's designs and all the details on the challenge.

Have you made any New Year Resolutions?  I don't make any as I know they would only get broken but I do want to try and get more me crafting in.  I am not on as many DTs now as a few have closed and I have left a few more to give me more crafting time.  I have been quite busy doing some magazine commissions so they have taken a lot of time but I will finish those this week then have more time to craft, well that's the plan!

Thank you so much for looking and your continued support, it means a lot.

Happy New Year

A big Happy New Year to you all! I hope 2015 is a wonderful year for all my blogging buddies! I have been very quiet here over the Christmas period. Just chilling with all my family - we had a wonderful time.  I am scheduling this as my son and grandsons will be here for the New Year.  Today sees the start of a new Challenge at Buckwell's Crafty Challenge and we are kicking off 2015 with everyone's favourite of Anything Goes!!

I have used this adorable image called Sonja from our very kind sponsored A Little Digi Heaven and she is available here. I coloured her with my Copics and then cut her out.  The papers are First Edition and I used a new heart die I got for Christmas by X Cut. I must say it cut really well, with intricate dies like this I always use a metal shim but I couldn't find it and it cut through on the first run!  The gorgeous ribbon is from Buckwells available here its so lush and shiny on both sides.  I used a mixture of Sweetheart blossoms and Cosmos Daisies also from Buckwells and available here. The pins and pearl stamens are from my stash.  I also added a Memory Box corner bow but not sure if you can see it that well!

Please head over to Buckwell's Crafty Challenge to see the rest of the DT work and all the details, hope you can join us!
