The Letter B

Good morning to you all! Today sees the start of a new challenge at Crafty Sentiments and the theme is The Letter B - so anything beginning with the letter B we want to see on your projects!  This is my first challenge with them since being invited to join the team as I was away for the last one! I am so excited - a big thank you for having me!! Enough waffling here is what I did:

As soon as I saw this stamp I knew I had to have her as I was a child of the sixties lol! She is Crafty Sentiments Primrose - Sixties Fashion available here.  I can remember having tights like this except mine were sort of pink and purple - made me look like I had been standing too close to the fire lol!  I have coloured her with Copics and a touch of Spica pen and what a joy to colour!  The papers are Carta Bella "True Friends".  I added some Viva Decor Pearl to her scarf.  The dies are SB Grand Nesties Ovals, Whimsy Corner Die, Joycrafts flower and Marianne leaves.  I have used my EK success border punch for the borders and also for the frame around the image.  The ribbon and blingy thing are from my stash.  Well I think I have loads of B's:  Bow, brad, bloom, border punch, bag, belt, blue and not to forget bling!!

To enter you do not have to use a Crafty Sentiments stamp or image but if you do then your entry will count three times in the draw! Just add a 3 after your name if you have used a Crafty Sentiments image or stamp.  The lucky winner this week will win:

I would like to enter the following challenges:

Simon Says Stamp - Anything Goes
Love to Create - Punches and/or Dies
A Gem of a Challenge - Going Green
Totally Gorjuss - Ribbons and Pearls
Stampin for the Weekend - Diecuts/Punches
Crafty Ribbons - Anything Goes with Ribbon

Please go over to Crafty Sentiments and see what the rest of the fabulous DT have done!

That's all for me today, thank you for coming by and see you tomorrow! Take care xx

I'm Late I'm Late!

Oops I should have scheduled this before I went to the gym! Just a bit late for our new challenge over at Lexi's Creations and the theme for this challenge is "Happy Birthday".  Here is my card:

As soon as I saw this image I fell in love with it!  The image is Working the Land by Stitchy Bear.  The sentiment is by Lexi available at Fairydust Crafts.  The digital papers are Orchard Lane by Echo Park.  I have colourd with my Copics and added a bit of Glossy Accents to the brass on the horse's harness.  I have cut and matted using SB Labels One and the cat tails are a SB Die DLites Die which took ages to cut out grrr! I have used Cheery Lynn Tags 2 to cut out the sentiment and Dienamics button die and bracket edge duo.  I thought this would make a good male card with the image so get the embellishments fairly plain.

Our sponsor this week is:

the lucky winner will receive three digis.

I would like to enter the following challenges:

Simon Says Stamp - Anything Goes

So please pop over to Lexi's Creations Challenge blog to see what the rest of the DT have made!  Thanks for looking today, take care xx

Whose Handsome?

Good morning and a jolly happy weekend to you all! A big welcome to my newest followers - Camellia, Sharon and Bridie I am thrilled to have you!  I would normally be sharing my card for Card Makin' Mamas with you today but we are running a bit late with the challenge so it won't be today. As I have been busy trying to get ahead with DT work I didn't have anything new made.  But I did find the birthday card I made for my son back in January which I haven't posted before.  He is a big Salvidor Dali fan so I thought this Rick St Dennis image would be perfect for him:

I know the image is Rick St Dennis and I coloured it with Copics.  I think the papers may be Bo Bunny but not sure now!  The clock is Tim Holtz die and the sentiment is computer generated and hand cut with a square punch to make the fish tail.  Distressed with Antique Linen.  I think I should have done the picture bigger now I see it up there!

I would like to enter the following challenges:

Simon Says Stamp - Anything Goes
Card Crafters Circle - Boys to Men
Digital Tuesdays - Birthdays
My Time to Craft - Use Kraft

Anything nice planned for the weekend? I was supposed to be taking my Aunt down to Stratford-Upon-Avon today to see her newest great grandchild but the blooming garage didn't have my car ready! I don't like driving my husband's car its too big so I have had to re-arrange our soiree down to Stratford, I really hate letting my Aunt down especially at the last minute!  Thanks so much for looking, have a fabulous weekend and take care xx

Today sees the start of a new challenge over at The Paper Shelter and the theme this week is "FOR THE BOYS" so we want to see your creations for the men/boys in your life.  I don't know about you but I can sometimes struggle with male cards as it means you have to hold off the embellishments really no flowers, glitter or bling - sigh! I have to take my car into the workshop today to get repaired.  I was parked in Tesco and some idiot parked next to me scraped the whole side of my car when he reversed out.  He then very kindly drove off without owning up!!!  Luckily a very kind man was passing by and took the details down and left them for me, nice to know there are some decent people around.  But to top it off the person who banged my car at first denied it - can you believe it???  Anyway the insurance has sorted it out with the help of the witness statement and the man finally owned up so it won't affect my no claims bonus!

Well I better catch up with all of you and then I am off out! Thanks for looking today, take care xx

Colour My World

Good morning everyone! I am back safe and sound and had a wonderful holiday! We had seven days of wonderful sunshine and blue skies! Good morning to you all! Hope you are having a fabulous BH weekend.  This is scheduled as I won't have much time for blogging with my grandsons here!!  Today sees the start of a brand new challenge at Lexi's Creations and the theme for this challenge is Punches and Dies.  Here is my card:

I have used Obo by Lexi available from Fairydust Crafts.  I coloured him with Copics IRL he looks much better than the picture. I cut him out and then put a big wobble under neath him so he bounces around, then matted him on a mat cut with my Spellbinders rectangles dies.  I did have some googly eyes that I wanted to use but I hunted high and low and couldn't find them! The papers are Nitwits.  I used the arrows which are MFT Dienamics dies. A bit of a CAS card really, I printed the sentiment out straight onto the linen card stock the font is a freebie from DaFont.com.  Our sponsor this week is no other than the fabulous:

So please go over to Lexis and see what the rest of the DT have done for some more inspiration! Thanks for looking, please pop back soon as today sees the start of the brand new challenge A Little Bit Crafty! Take care xx
