Good morning and a happy weekend to you all. We have a new challenge at Card Makin' Mamas and the theme is Fall is Here or Autumn if you live in the UK. I am not an autumn fan in fact I think it is my least favourite season, everything is dying off and the weather is turning grim. The only redeeming feature about autumn is that it is time for Halloween!! So for my card I have used a Halloween theme:
Our sponsor for this challenge is Bugaboo Digi Stamps and their images are such fun! For my card I have chosen to use Bugaboo's Make It Snappy - Happy Halloween which is available to purchase here and at the moment it is half price!! The image comes with both Happy Halloween in the sentiment box or blank so I chose to put my own sentiment in it. I have coloured with Copics. The papers are by Fancy Pants from their Oct 31 pad. I have used Edgeabilities for the border and MFT dies for the mini tickets and corners - which are made from orange glitter card. The button is October Afternoon and the twine is from my stash.
Thank you for looking and I hope you all have a great weekend - take care xx

New Challenge at Delightful
Good morning everyone and today sees the start of a new challenge at Delightful Challenges. This week the theme is:
ORANGE, GREEN AND PURPLE!
Its getting to the time of year when all things ghoulish are appearing so this should be an easy challenge for you all! Here is what I have made:
I have used the super adorable Vampire Kiddles which is available here at Digital Delights. He has been coloured with Copics and the edges distressed with Black Soot Distress Ink. I have cut and matted him with Spellbinders Nesties and the spider is a Memory Box Die. I have used some Coredinations Black Magic cardstock for the background which I have put through a herringbone embossing folder so the green core shows through. I have used Spootacular Digital Paper as the background for the MFT Retro Squares die, you can purchase the Spootacular Papers here. I have used one of the sentiments from the Ghoulish Sentiments Set which is available here. The bat is a Memory Box Die and the gems are from my stash.
Our sponsor this week is none other than:
The lucky will win a $10 store voucher to spend in Digital Delights. You don't have to use a Digital Delights image to enter but we love it so much if you do that you can enter twice! Please go over to Delightful Challenges and see what the rest of the talented Design Team have done its worth the visit!
Thank you so much for your warm wishes regarding my daughter, I have started to see an improvement this last week so I am hopeful. We are going to take her to her house this weekend so she can spend the weekend with her partner so this is a big step for her. I am hoping she continues to improve as I am going on holiday in three weeks and, although I have made arrangements for her dad and partner to be here with her, it is worrying having to leave her. We did not have a holiday together last year due to my husband's operation and radiotherapy so we are anxious to have one this year plus we are taking his grandchildren and do not want to disappoint them. Why is life never simple?
Thanks so much for looking I really appreciate it, take care xx

Hostess Monday
Good morning and Happy Monday to you all. Today on the Digital Delights Blog it is my turn to be the Hostess for Hostess Monday. For my spot I have made two cards using the same image. All of Wendy's images come either coloured or uncoloured and I thought it would be interesting to show how long it would take to do the same card using the two types of images. Here is what I started with:
I prepared everything first making the diecuts and cutting the papers to size, this took about 15 minutes. Here is the first card I made using the coloured image:
I used the cute Angel Donita which is available here at Digital Delights. The sentiment is from the A Touch of Christmas Sentiments Set which is available here at Digital Delights. I have used Wendy's digital paper from the Candy Cane Lane Paper Pack available from Digital Delights here. All the dies are Spellbinders, the ribbon is from The Ribbon Girls and charm and twine are from my stash. This card took 14 minutes to make.
Here is the next card I made using the same image but colouring her myself:
I coloured Angel Donita with my Copics, she is available to purchase here from Digital Delights. I have used the same sentiment set as my other card. The papers I have used are from Wendy's Snowflakes Digital Pack which is available here to purchase. This card took 1 hour and 16 minutes to make.
Well that's it from me for today, thank you so much for looking and a big welcome to my new follower. See you soon, take care xx

I coloured her with Copics and this is the first time I have coloured black hair. The paper is by Prima from the Romance Novel Collection. I have distressed the edges with Black Soot DI and also used my Tim Holtz paper distresser. I have used a Spellbinders die to cut the image out and matted her on a Spellbinders Floral Oval. The flower is made from a Spellbinders Die and the resin flowers are from Teresa at My Crafty Heart. The gorgeous lace was from Alessandra - a big thank you!

Make a gift
Good morning everyone and welcome to the start of a new challenge at Lexi's Creations. The theme this week is Make a Gift/Anything but a Card. I have decided to make another box to put a little gift in.
I have used my Spellbinders Square Bracket Box die to make the box using scraps of card that were lying on my counter, I think they are Nitwits. I have decorated the box with Spellbinder's Rose Creations made with Vellum and coloured with a touch of Distress Ink. The leaf is a Marianne die. For the butterflies I have used Lexi's Butterfly digi which you can purchase at Fairydust Crafts. I coloured them with my Copics, cut them out and then added lots of Art Institute Glitter before popping them on foam squares. Here is another view:
These boxes are just perfect for table favours and also for putting a well known brand of charm inside:
Please pop over to Lexi's Creations and see what the rest of the talented DT have come up with. You have two weeks to enter the challenge so lots of time to get your thinking caps on.
Thank you for your kind wishes regarding my daughter, unfortunately I am still waiting to see an improvement. I am managing to get my DT work done now but I cannot manage anything else. I am hoping that this week we will start to see an improvement. Thanks for coming by today I really appreciate it, take care xx

Be Punny
Today sees the start of a new challenge at Card Makin' Mamas Challenge and the theme for this challenge is "Be Punny". So we want to see your cards which have a play on words on them. Here is what I have done:
Although its not a funny one it does have a play on words. The stamp and sentiment are from Clear Dollar Stamps they are both digis. I have coloured the image with my Copics and distressed the edges with Antique Linen Distress Ink. The image has been cut and matted with a Spellbinders Nestie. The papers are from Linen Closet by DCWV - gorgeous papers. The border is a die and I'm not sure who makes it. The little bow is also a die cut by Lil' Inker.
Please pop over to Card Makin' Mamas for some more inspiration from the DT. You have two weeks to enter your card in and we will love to see what you come up with. Thanks so much for looking and take care xx

I used papers from Spootacular Paper to coordinate with the images and you can purchase them here at Digital Delights. This was a really quick and fun project to do and they look so sweet sat on a shelf in my Craft Room - too nice to give away I think I will keep them lol!!

HALLOWEEN
This also coincides with a brand new release from Wendy which have to be the most adorable little Halloween monsters and ghouls you have seen, pop over to Digital Delights to check them out. For my card I have used the adorable Frankenstein Kiddles from the new collection:
Isn't she just the cutest? You can get her from Digital Delights here. I have coloured her with my Copics. The sentiment is from the new Ghoulish Sentiments set which is available here to purchase. I have used two papers from the Ghoulishly Scary Digital Paper pack which is available here to purchase. I have cut Kiddles out and then matted her on some paper which I first ribbed and then cut with a Nestie, I then made a faux Nestie to put them on. The bats and spider are a Memory Box die, I have added some red gems from my stash to make bat's eyes. The button, twine and webbed ribbon are from my stash. I really had a lot of fun making this card I love Halloween and Wendy's images are just too fun to miss, I will be using another from this collection in the coming weeks.

Thanks for all your kind comments regarding my daughter. It is now five weeks and, unfortunately, we have yet to see an improvement. We see the consultant again tomorrow but I don't think anything will change. It has been very heart warming to receive your kind comments and it does mean a lot. I have been managing to make my cards for DTs that I am on and although they take several days to make when I am able to get some time it is very therapeutic! Hope you are all ok and thanks so much for looking, take care xx

Hearts
We have a new challenge over at Card Makin' Mamas and the theme for this challenge is Hearts. This is because we have a new sponsor, Norhalma Verzosa who is a Close to My Heart Independent Consultant. Norhalma is very generously donating a Close to My Heart stamp set to the lucky winner. In honour of this our theme is Hearts. Here is what I have made:
Plenty of hearts there I think! I really don't know who the image is by I have had this stamp a very long time I think I bought it at a show somewhere and this is the first time I have used it - I had to put the EZ Mount on it but it had just been lying in my drawer but I thought it would be perfect for this challenge. I have coloured it with Copics. The doily is a Cheery Lynn - Sophia's Heart. I have made the tag by stamping a script stamp and heat embossed using white embossing powder and then used Victorian Velvet DI. The edge of the stamp has been cut with a Martha Stewart punch, the rose is from Teresa at My Crafty Heart and I think the leaves are from the Ribbon Girl. I have used a Cheery Lynn die for the butterfly and cut it out twice once with cardstock and the top layer with vellum. The paper is a gorgeous new pad I bought by Prima called Romance Novel. The ribbon and lace heart are from my stash and the gorgeous ribbon button and gem are from the Ribbon Girl.
Please pop over to Card Makin' Mamas to see the beautiful creations the rest of the DT have done and there is also a DT call on at the moment if you are interested. You have two weeks to make a card for the challenge so please have a go we would love to see what you make.
