Keep Cool

Good morning everyone and hopefully you will be seeing this Saturday as I am scheduling it Thursday.  One of my friends has a birthday soon and when I saw this image I just thought of her right away!!  She is always on holiday and has a villa in Spain too so she always has a tan and she does enjoy a glass or two of something nice to sip on (don't we all??).  I thought I would do it in red white and blue to be topical:

The image is Gloria from Mo's Digital Pencil and I think she's a stunner.  Coloured with Copics and Prismas.  I have added some Liquid Pearls to the dots on her costume and also some Stickles to the costume frill and stars on the inflatable.  I tried to make the drink look like a Cosmopolitan because that's what Maggie loves to drink.  I tried to do the hair like hers but it has turned out too brassy.  The papers are from Nitwits Tour of London Collection.  The image has been cut and matted using Spellbinders Nesties.  The flowers have been made with my MFT Dienamics die with gems from my stash used.  I decorated the inside and made a box too - here is a picture of the card in the box:

I used an Go Create XXL die to cut the aperture. I then  added some acetate which I have had for years (since I used to do presentations on OHPs lol)  for the window.  The corners are from MFT Dienamics set.

I would like to enter the following challenges:

Sketch 'n Stash - Sketch 21 Stash used - gems and acetate

Inky Impressions - Beach Fun
The Paper Shelter - Punches/Dies
The Sisterhood of Crafters - Stars
Crafty Sentiments - Red White and Blue
Charisma Cardz - Anything Goes
Two Sisters Challenge - Red White and Blue Optional Bling
Allsorts - Use Flowers

Well that's it for me for today.  I will be back home on Monday so from me have a fab weekend, thank you for looking and take care xx

Oh Baby!

Good morning bloggers hope you are all ok!  I am scheduling this post as we were at Starlight Express last night in Manchester and this morning I am off to London to look after my darling grandson Harrison for the weekend - wish me luck!

I am going to be a grandma again in December so I thought it would be a good idea to start practicing on some baby cards. Melissa doesn't want to know the sex of the baby this time so it is going to be a surprise when it arrives. I always tend to make girl baby cards so I thought I would make a boy for a change.

I have used an image from Mo's Digital Pencil - isn't it precious?  He has been coloured with Copics and no his jacket isn't dingy its grey to match the papers!!  He has been cut and layered using Nesties.  The papers are from a new collection at Nitwits called Petal Fresh (wow!!) and I have used Whitewash Coredinations.  I have used some Pearl card for the embossing at the back I think its a Cuttlebug EF and the heart at the front which is a Marianne die.  The sentiment is computer generated and the little pearl hearts have been coloured with Copics and are from my stash.  I found a little verse on the internet at this site

I would like to enter the following challenges:

Sketch 'n Stash - Sketch 17 stash used hearts, pearl card, heart die

Bronte and Bellas/Mo's Digital Challenge - Straight from the Heart
Charisma Cardz - Anything Goes
Cropstop - Are You Feeling Blue?
Southern Girls - Oh Baby Baby
Paper Makeup Stamps - Anything Goes
Paper Playtime - Anything Goes + Sentiment
Cutie Pie Challenge - One for the Boys

Thanks for looking, I will catch up with you all from the train! Have a great weekend, I will be back tomorrow with a schedules post (hopefully) lol!  Thanks for looking and take care xx

It's Celebration Time!

Good morning everyone! Hope you are all just fine and dandy! I am because today sees the start of a new challenge at Delightful Challenges and the theme this week is:

CELEBRATION

yes that's right any card or project that is related to a celebration - that could mean wedding, birth, birthday, anniversary, driving test, graduation, christening the list is endless!  I have decided to go with none of these but instead decided on a theme closer to our friends across the water's hearts.  As we have all been caught up with our Jubilee celebrations it is now the turn of our American friends to celebrate their 4th July (independence from the UK - lol) so I have done a card for the 4th July - don't know who I will give it to lol!!

I have used the very patriotic USA Myrtle the Turtle digital image from Digital Delights.  She has been coloured with my Copics and a touch of Prismas.  The papers are digital also available here from Digital Delights.  The ticket sentiment is also from Wendy from Digital Delights - these tickets are fab because they come with differenet sentiments on and also some blank ones for you to put your own words in!!  I have used my Spellbinders Edgeabilities for the postage stamp border and my Nesties for the mat and layering.  The stars are from my MFT Dienamics star die and I have used holographic mirri card and glitter card for them.  I have used another layout from Sketch 'n Stash - loving these sketches!!

Our sponsors this week are:

The fabulous Joanna Sheen and they have very kindly donated a £10 store voucher to the lucky winner!! So remember - you have to be in it to win it! This shouldn't be too difficult at the challenge incorporates so many different things - get your creative hats on and if you need any inspiration just pop over to Delightful Challenges and see what the rest of the super talented DT have come up with!!

I would like to enter the following challenges:

Sketch 'N Stash - Sketch No 3 (Stash Star Dies and Edgeability Dies, Mirri card, glitter card)

Digital Tuesday - Amazing Animals
Shopping our Stash - Red White and Blue or Patriotic (Stash mirri card, glitter card, star dies and border)
Simon Says Stamp - Sporty or Patriotic

Gingerloft - Red White and Blue
Crafting for all Seasons - Patriotic/Military/Fireworks
Love to Create - Anything Goes

Lemon Lucy

Good morning everyone - mid week so soon! Well I managed two cards yesterday so I am pleased with my progress if I can do another two today I will be pleased with that because I won't be able to craft again until next week now! I have used another Mayzy Art Image today called Lemon Lucy which was actually a free image from Through the Craftroom Door.

I seem to have a thing for red hair at the moment!  I have coloured her with Copics and some Prisma Pencils as usual.  I have added Glossy Accents to her eyes and the ice cubes in the jug and glass - maybe its a big jug of G and T - in that case hope she doesn't drink it all herself!!  I have matted her onto a Nestie Romantic Rectangle.  The papers are by Nitwit from the Life's Little Lemons Collection as is the sentiment.  The flower is a MFT Dienamic die and the leaf is a Marianne Die as is the border which I have distressed with Scattered Straw DI.  The corner is a Whimsy Die.  The buttons are actually cardstock which I have cut with a Marianne button die that I have had quite a while and then embossed twice with UTEE and the twine is from my stash.  I have followed a sketch from Sketch n Stash - Number 6.

I would like to enter the following challenges:

Sketch 'n Stash - Sketch No 6 (Stash - button die, twine, border die)

Bearly Mine - Anything Goes
Deep Ocean - Welcome Summer
Jackson's Digital Expressions - Anything Goes

Give us a Lick!!

Good morning everyone! Well yesterday wasn't the washout I anticipated, turned out quite nice.  Got such a lot done to - all my housework, loads of washing, shopping, baked a cake for my DH and two cards!! Wow why is that some days you can accomplish loads and other days you just don't seem to get anywhere?  I would also like to know that when I go on a diet my husband is the one that seems to loose most of the weight?? I have managed to loose 12 pounds but would like to loose at least another 1/2 stone and my husband quite proudly announced he is the lightest he has ever been whilst with me it is the opposite!! Hence the baking of a cake, strawberries and cream and poached apricots and cream (all for him he he).

I am going down to London this weekend to look after Harrison whilst Stephen and Melissa go away for the weekend.  It is the first time I have looked after him for a weekend and I am so looking forward to it.  I am sure I will loose a few pounds just running after him because he never stays still!!  It would be nice to have some nice weather so we could get out for walks and playing in the garden but I don't think that is going to happen :0(

Anyway, here is the card that I have made for today:

I have used Mallory by MazyArt which are available on Etsy, she does some fabulous images and when you buy one you get a free one that she does for the month.  I have coloured her with Copics and Prismas and added some Glossy Accents to those big eyes.  The papers are by Wild Rose Studio I have had them in my stash for ages and I'm trying to use some up.  I have made the border with a die which I'm not sure what make it is.  The banner die is Memory Box.  I have coloured some Card Candy with Copics, put Glossy Accents on and added a gem.  Gems and ribbon from my stash.  I have followed the sketch at Willow Sketchie which also has the theme Bold and Bright which I think this is.  I would like to enter the following challenges:

Willow Sketchie - Sketch and Bold and Bright
Paper Makeup Stamps - Anything Goes
Incy Wincy - Anything Goes
Corrosive Challenge - Summertime Girls
Joanna Sheen - Summer Daze
Pan Pastel - Anything Goes
Stampin' Sisters in Christ - Flags and Banners
Charisma Cardz - Summer
Penny's Paper Challenge - Ice Cream
Bearly Mine -  Anything Goes

Well I am hoping to get another two cards done today because after tomorrow I won't have any crafty time this week!  Thanks a lot for looking and any nice comments you may leave, see you tomorrow and take care xx

At the Beach

Today sees the start of a new challenge over at Lexi's Creations and the theme for this challenge is:

AT THE BEACH

I would like to say very topical but for everyone in the UK its the last place we want to be in this weather!  Maybe if we all made a nice beach card it would shame Mr Sunshine into showing his face - worth a try?
Here is the card I have made:

I don't think the rain will bother this beauty - she's already got the fins to deal with it lol!  The digi is by Lexi and called Melody she is available to purchase at Fairy Dust Crafts.  I have coloured Melody with my Copics and added Mermaid Stickles.  The papers are by Nitwits from the From The Sea Too Collection.  The beautiful lace was part of the candy I won from the beautiful Alessandra (big thank you again).  The sentiment is computer generated and cut out with Spellbinders Nesties.  I have cut, embossed and matted the image using Nesties.  The seahorse and starfish are cut using a Cuttlebug die, the corner from a Whimsy die and gems and shells from my stash.  I have followed the sketch from Sketch Saturday for my layout. I would like to enter the following challenges:

Sketch Saturday - Sketch
Always Crafting - Mermaids and Fairies

So why don't you pop over to Lexi's Creations and see what my talented team mates have come up with?  This week our sponsors are:

I'd like to give a big welcome to my latest follower Hanna and thank you Hanna its always thrilling to see a new follower!!  On a final note I must admit I was slightly relieved about the outcome of the match last night!  Only because I have tickets to see Starlight Express in Manchester on Thursday and my husband looked decidedly ill when I reminded him we wouldn't be home to see the semi finals!! That got me out of that tricky situation lol!  Thanks so much for looking I really appreciate it and take care xx

Make a Wish

Good Morning everyone I sure hope you are having a great weekend - its certainly going fast, isn't it? At the moment its just a grey day here in Blackpool no rain yet but I am sure it won't be long!  For my card today I have used a Wags 'n Whiskers digi called Fairy Angelica:

I have coloured Angelica with Copics and a touch of Prisma Pencils.  I added Stickles to her wings and the stars - you can't have a fairy without glitter can you?  The papers are a mixture of Nitwits and Bearly Mine.  The image has been cut out with a Nestie Label Twelve and the edges distressed with Victorian Velvet DI.  I have matted the papers at the back on Spellbinders Romantic Rectangles.  I have made the flower with my Woodware Punch and distressed the edges with some Victorian Velvet DI and added a pearl to the centre.  The heart banner die is Whiff of Joy and I have added Viva Decor Pearls everywhere (thanks Teresa for the tips).  The ribbon and charm are from my stash.  The sentiment is computer generated straight onto the backing paper, if I could make a wish it would be for some summery weather lol!!

I would like to enter the following challenges:

Girly Imogen

Good morning everyone - its very wet here in Blackpool! What a shame as the Olympic torch is set to arrive here today!  Hope they've got loads of matches to keep re-lighting it because I think the rain is going to keep extinguishing it!!

Today sees the start of a new challenge at Cardmadfairy's Digi Days Challenge and the theme this week is Girly!  Well we all complain when we have to make male cards so this should be an easy peasy challenge - right? Here is what I have made:

I have used Imogen which you can purchase here and she has been coloured with my Copics.  The papers are by Prima called Meadow Lark and the cardstock is Coredinations.  The shutter die is Grand Madison Window Shutter by Memory Box.  The corner die is a Whimsy die and the flowers have been made with MFT Dienamics die - can't find it so I can't remember what its called (really need to have another tidy up in here lol)!  Please pop over to the challenge and see what the rest of the DT have made - some stunning designs.  To enter you can use any image as long as it is a Digital image!

Thanks for all your well wishes regarding my dental problem.  I went to the dentist and he told me I had to have a tooth out.  He did want to take it out then but I said I needed time to think about it and made an appointment for Monday but he did say he would see me today because he didn't think I would last til Monday!! Anyway I have been up half the night again - this is why I am late with my post I have only just got up.  So I will be having to go today.  I was supposed to be going over to a friends this evening and we were having a girly night out - meal, casino and pub for some live music.  Oh dear, but I need to get it sorted because next weekend I am going down to London to look after Harrison for the weekend - the first time I have had by myself!!

That's it for me for today, gotta put on my big girl's knickers for the dentist!! See you tomorrow, take care xx

Wild Thing

Good morning all here we are mid week!  Well I managed to get two cards done yesterday and I am hoping I can do the same today to try and catch up on them all.  This afternoon my DH is going to an Art Demonstration that is being held by one of the local villages.  He will set up his easel outside and start his art work and I think people can come round and watch.  I have told him I will come and see how he is getting on - nothing to do with the fact that the local craft shop is there lol!!

Today's card is a CAS one that I did so that I could enter the challenge at Basic Grey which is CAS.

The image is Jesalyn from Lala Crafts and I have coloured her with my Copics.  I have used Basic Grey Papers from the Little Black Dress Collection which I love!  I have made the banner from the same paper using my Memory Box Die.  I have cut and matted the paper out with Spellbinders.  The image is computer generated. Very simple card but I guess that is the idea of CAS!!  I would like to enter the following challenges:

Well that's it from me for today.  A big welcome to my newest follower Mary!  Thanks for looking and I will be back tomorrow - take care xx

So Tall

Good Morning everyone!  It was lovely to have a nice sunny day yesterday! I don't know what happened today as it was supposed to be nice but it is a bit rainy at the mo - hopefully it will clear up soon.  I am now on my second lot of antibiotics from the dentist as the first didn't make any difference.

For today's card I have used one of my images I got in my Pollycraft bundle:

This little cutie is called So Tall and I have cut her out with Spellbinders Large Circle die and coloured her with my Copics and Prisma Pencils.  I have followed a sketch for the layout, the sketch is from  Sentimental Sunday.  The papers are by Nitwits from the Bumbleberry Too Collection. I have punched the tag with my Woodware Punch which is ancient - almost an antique I think.  The banner dies are by Memory Box I bought them when I won a voucher for Simon Says Stamp and they arrived yesterday.  The twine and gems are from my stash.  I would like to enter the following challenges:

Congratulations

Good morning everyone hope you are all ok and had a fab weekend!  It was so nice to see some sunshine here in Blackpool yesterday.  I would like to apologise to anyone who may have received a spam e mail from me yesterday.  My account has been hacked and spam e mails have been sent to my contact regarding diet pills, please rest assured I have not resorted to selling diet pills in my retirement.  I have changed my password as advised by the provider, if anyone knows of anything else I should do I would appreciate the advice!

For today's card I have followed another sketch, this time from Sketch Saturday:

Another great sketch to follow!  The image is from Di's Digi Design called Champagne Time - anytime is Champagne Time if you ask me lol!! I have coloured Champagne Charlie with my Copics and Prismas.  The gingham paper is Pink Petticoat and the patterned paper is by Basic Grey called Hello Luscious which I have had a while but I am trying to use some of my paper mountain stash.  I have used a Spellbinders Ribbon Banner for the computer generated sentiment and Spellbinders Edgeabilities for the border.  The banner is made with a MFT Dienamics die and some Bakers Twine from my stash.  I have added Glossy Accents to the glass and bubbles. I have kept the embellishments down as I thought this would be a good male card!

Wonderful Tilda

Good morning bloggers from a soggy Blackpool!  Well the weekend has arrived but unfortunately it does not look like the rain will be shifting anytime soon.  This is a shame because Emma and her friends are going to the Pleasure Beach today for her birthday party. I'm sure it won't dampen their fun but I feel sorry for her poor mum and dad!  Max is coming to stay with us all day and staying the night so we will be nice and snug and dry with lots of games and frolics going on I'm sure!!

For today's card I guess you can tell by the title of my post, I have dusted off Tilda.  I have coloured her with my Distress Markers following about three different tutorials on various blogs.  I think this was my fourth attempt - you should have seen the others!!

I have used Wonderful Tilda.  The papers are Raspberry Road from the Josephine collection - very pretty.  I have used my Sophia's Heart die again from Cheery Lynn and also the butterfly is a Cheery Lynn die which I have used on pearlised card so they have a lovely sheen.  The flower and leaves are a Marianne die and the banner heart die is Whiff of Joy.  I have used another hand made crochet flower and a resin flower from My Crafty Heart (very reasonably priced).  The image has been cut and matted with Spellbinders. I have added some Stickles to the image and butterfly and the pearls are from my stash.  The inside has been decorated to match and I have also added a birthday sentiment to the front but that was after I took the picture!!

I would like to enter the following challenges:

Crafty Ann's - Its A Girl Thing
Stamping With The Dragon - Anything Goes
Tilda's Town - Lazy Days of Summer
Crop Stop - Banners

Lovely hAnglar or Sweet Magnolia - Favourite Colour Combo (mine is pink pink and pink!!)

Well I had to go see my dentist at 6:30 last night and I am now on antibiotics for a gum infection so hopefully they should start to work and I can get rid of this blasted painful mouth and jaw.

A big welcome to Nancy my newest follower! I will be back tomorrow hopefully, until then try and stay dry and take care xx

Rainy Day Friday

Good Morning everyone and don't these Fridays come round quickly?  Its pouring down here in Blackpool although yesterday wasn't too bad - we had a fair bit of sunshine earlier on in the day.

I didn't really make a card yesterday, I had the image all coloured but I haven't been feeling 100% so I actually went and had a sleep in the afternoon!  So my card is one I made quite a while ago and have never posted before.

The image is Saturated Canary and I have coloured her with Prismas.  The papers are First Edition and Pink Petticoat.  The corner dies are by Whimsy, tree die is Memory Box and I have used Spellbinders for the image and mat.  The border is a EK punch.  I have made a crochet flower and put a brad in the centre and the two resin flowers are from Teresa at My Crafty Heart.  I have put Stickles on her wings. I would like to enter the following challenges:

Truly Scrumptious - Flower Power

Well that's it for me today.  I would like to say a big Hello to my new followers and how thrilled I am to have you on board, so to speak!!  I hope you all have a good day and I will see you again tomorrow, thanks so much for looking and take care xx

Love Letters Straight from Your Heart

Good morning to you all and here we are mid week all ready! Goodness me, soon be Christmas!!
Its raining here in Blackpool and the sky is wall to wall grey cloud so it doesn't look promising for the rest of the day.

So here is a card that I made following a photo colour inspiration at Milk Coffee Stamps:

The digi is from Milk Coffee called Charlotte and her Love Letter and has been coloured with Copics and Prismas.  The papers are by Prima called Melody.  I have embossed and sanded the panel behind the image.  I have used Spellbinders for the image and mat and also the computer generated sentiment.   The heart banner is Whiff of Joy and I have coloured the pearls (from my stash) with Copics to match.  I have followed a sketch from Sketch Saturday for the layout.

I would like to enter the following challenges:

Sketch Saturday - Sketch

It was a High School Smash......The Monster Mash!!

Good morning everyone hope you are ok today.  At the mo the sun is shining here in Blackpool so fingers crossed it stays around for a while.  Yesterday was not too bad although it got very dark later on in the day but still managed to get washing dried on the line!!

Yesterday was Dave's grand daughter Emma's birthday but they didn't get back from their holidays til last night so we will be seeing her today with her presents.  She is now 9 and absolutely mad about Monster High which I think most girls around that age seem to be.  Naturally I had to make a card around that theme.  I thought that one of the images I got in my Pollycraft bundle had a bit of a Monster High theme to it and so I used that:

I coloured her with my Copics and tried to make her look like Emma with her blonde hair (although Emma doesn't have pink eyes lol). The papers are from Delightful Digitals on Etsy.  The two Monster High images are also from Etsy from Kaylen Designs, they come on a sheet of about twelve I just cropped them and enlarged them.  They are on springs so that they bounce around! I have used Shapeabilities and Edgeabilities for all my cutouts.  I chalked around the edge of the image with pink and aqua.  I followed the sketch on Sketch Saturday. Here is a side view so you can see the effect from the springs:

I have made some tags with the images for her presents and wrapped them up in Monster High colours.  I would like to enter the following challenges:

Sketch Saturday - Sketch
Bunny Zoe's - Girls Girls Girls
Craft Your Passion - Anything Goes
Send a Smile 4 Kids - Bright Colours/Card for a Kid
Crafty Ann's Challenge - It's A Girl Thing
Pixie Challenge - 3 or More Papers
Jackson's Digital Expressions - Inks and Such

Well that's it from me for today!  I'll be back tomorrow and a big thank you for coming to visit - take care xx

Today sees the start of a new challenge over at Lexi's Creations and the challenge this week is Happy Birthday.  How easy could that be I ask? Here is what I have made:

I have used Ladybug Flowers which is available at Fairydust Crafts here.  I have coloured my image with Copics and added some Flowersoft to the centre of the flowers.  The image has been cut and matted with Spellbinders and then distressed with some Antique Linen Distress Ink.  The doily is a gorgeous Cheery Lynn die called Sophia's Heart it is so pretty and very big!  The butterfly and flower are also Cheery Lynn dies, I have distressed the edges of the butterfly with Antique Linen.  The sentiment is computer generated and cut out with Spellbinders.  The papers are a recent win from Bearly Mine Designs I got to choose two digi sets of papers and I can tell you it was a hard choice the papers are gorgeous!  You can see the Bearly Mine designs here. I have just finished off with some pearls from my stash.  We are sponsored this week by:

Anyone for Ice Cream??

Good morning from a very soggy Blackpool!! Hope you are ok and for those in the UK I hope you haven't been affected by these awful floods that have been occurring.  Dave's daughter and family have been on holiday in Jersey all week and I don't think they will have had nice weather, such a shame when you look forward to your holiday and then the weather is shocking.

With that in mind I have done a nice summery card for today to cheer us all up:

I have used Chester Cool from Pollycraft - it was in my Mega Bundle that I got.  I have coloured him with Copics and added some Glossy Accents to his glasses and the bits on his ice cream.  The papers are by Nitwits from the From the Sea Collection.  I have followed the sketch again from Sketch 'N Stash - have I said how much I love this sketch??!!  The sentiment is computer generated.  I have used Spellbinders to cut and mat the image and for the sentiment.  They have been distressed with Scattered Straw Distress Ink.  Dienamics die for the corners and Edgeabilities for the border.  I have coloured some Card Candi with Copics and added some Glossy Accents to them to make them lovely and shiny.  I would like to enter the following challenges:

Sketch 'n Stash - Sketch (my stash is my papers, card candi and dies)
Craft Punked - Happy Birthday
Crafty Catz - Summer Time
Our Craft Lounge - Photo Inspiration (I used the colours)
Take the Pixie Challenge - 3 or more Patterned Papers
Sassy Studios - Use Something Wet (I used Glossy Accents)
Willow Sketchie - Animal Antics
I Brake for Challenges - Summer Fun

Well its not raining here at the mo but it looks like it won't be long before it does.  The garden is beginning to look like an Amazon rain forest with weeds the size of houses but you just can't get in to do anything with the weather.  Hopefully may be able to get the grass cut and a bit of gardening done or maybe it would be easier to buy a goat and give him some wellies!!

I'd like to say a great big thank you to Alessandra  as I was one of the winners of her candy and I picked it up from the Post Office yesterday:

Such beautiful lace in it in all different colours!  Not to mention the yummy chocolates which are somewhat depleted now lol!  I don't think I will be using the lace as quickly as I  we ate the chocolates, its far too pretty to cut into!  Thank you Alessandra xxxx

Just before I go I found the one and only picture I took the other day on my camera which is from the races:

Well that's it for me for today I have a feeling today will be a day locked in the crafty garret!! Thanks so much for looking, see you tomorrow and take care xx

I have used the Vintage Car digital image from our sponsor's this week Digi Darla Designs.  I have coloured it with Prismas as I wanted it just to be softly coloured.  The image has been cut and matted with Spellbinders Nesties and the edges distressed with Antique Linen Distress Ink.  The sentiment was computer generated.  The papers are by Bo Bunny from the Timepiece Collection.  I have used my Dienamic Dies for the corner pieces and Tim Holtz for the gears.  Some Card Candy and ribbon from my stash to finish it off.  I have followed the sketch from Sketch N Stash again as I really like it!  Our sponsors this week are Digi Darla Designs:

they are giving the lucky winner five images of their choice!  You can use any image to enter the challenge but your project MUST be a card.  Please pop over to Card Makin Mamas and see what the rest of the talented DT have made.  I would like to enter the following challenges:

Father's Day Or Something Masculine

Good Morning everyone and a big Happy Friday to you all!  Today sees the start of a new challenge at CardMadFairy's Digi Days.  The theme of the challenge this week is Father's Day or Something Masculine.  I have gone with Something Masculine as you can never have too many male cards and I think none of us like making them too much - we'd all rather be playing with our ribbons, bling and flowers!!

I have used the digi Kevin and coloured him with my Copics  you can buy Kevin here.  For my papers I have used Nitwits Kick in it! The sentiment is computer generated.  The footballs and stars are actually table confetti I have had for so many years - knew it would come in handy one day!!  I have followed the sketch at Sketch 'n Stash for my layout.  For more inspiration please pop over and see the rest of the talented DT over at Cardmadfairy's Digi Days.  I would like to enter the following challenges:

Sketch and Stash - Sketch and my stash is my footballs and stars - ancient!!
Pattie's Creations - Father's Day or Something Masculine
Phindy's Place - Father's Day
The Poodles Parlour - Father's Day
C.R.A.F.T. Challenge - Male Card
Digi Doodle - Male Card

Kevin reminded me of my son when he was younger his hair was just like that but a lot darker.  He used to play football for the school team but really hated it because he was always in goals.  I used to have a real struggle to get him to the matches because he really didn't want to be in the goals but I think he was in because he was so tall and lanky he could just reach out and stop the balls!

My day at the races was great fun.  We went out for a lovely lunch in Ripon and then went to the races for the evening races.  The racecourse is very pretty and it is such good fun.  I won on the first one but it was each way and he came third so I decided that from then on I would just bet for the winner.  Naturally enough the next two races the one I backed came second!!  So I a didn't win but it was great fun and will certainly go again.

A big welcome to my newest follower and a big thank you!  That's it from me for today, have to catch up on all my housework and your lovely blogs!  See you tomorrow and take care xx

Summer Fun

Today sees the start of a new Challenge over at Delightful Challenges.  The theme this week is:

SUMMER FUN

This also coincides with a brand new release at Digital Delights and Wendy has come up trumps with this fabulous new collection!  Here is my card:

I had so much fun doing this and working with Wendy's gorgeous Hula Halina.  The palm tree, sun and flowers were all from the Luau Accessories Set.  I have used the Luau Paper Pack for my papers and digitally placed the Sea and Sand paper on top of the Sand Stripe paper and then digitally put on the Stay Cool Sentiment which is from the Luau Sentiments. I have coloured the images with Copics.  I have added gems to the flower's proboscis and also around the image.  The butterfly is cut from Dienamics Die and loads of Stickles added.  I have made the Easel card using my Grand Nesties. You can get these lovely images here at Digital Delights.  We are sponsored this week by:

Really Reasonable Ribbon.  Please pop over to Delightful Challenges to see what the rest of the talented DT have made with the new images from Wendy.

Hopefully this post will have posted ok as I am scheduling it on Tuesday.  Hope everyone is ok and I will be back tomorrow, thanks for looking and take care xx

A Day At The Races!

Good morning - I hope it is because this is a scheduled post and I am actually doing it Tuesday afternoon!  I am scheduling this because it is my sister's birthday today and she is currently on holiday in Ripon.  Dave and I are going over there this morning and we are all going out for lunch and then off to the Ripon Races, they are having an evening race.  We will stay over the night so loads of champagne for us lol!! I have never been to a race before so I have been looking forward to it. So I need to schedule this to give me enough time to say hello to all my blog friends and then get ready! Goodness me what to wear because the forecast is pants for the day so I think that's what I'll be wearing!!

Here is my card for today:

I love mermaids and spent most of the summer holidays when I was young swimming and pretending to be a mermaid!  This image is from Sureya called Sounds of the Ocean, you can see her listening to a shell if you look closely.  The paper and sentiment are from Rasperry Road, I digitally added the bottle, shell and seahorse to the corners.  I have cut the sentiment with a Spellbinders die and used some twine which I think was on a label on a pair of jeans.  The sand dollar charm is from my stash.  I have added some Glossy Accents to the bubbles to make them more dimensional.  I have coloured her with Copics and added Twinkling H2Os in Iridescent Blue to her tail which you can see better in this picture:

I would like to enter the following challenges:

Simon Says Stamp - Anything Goes
Well that's it for me for today, I'm off on starter's orders lol! Take care xx

Butterfly Fairy

Good morning everyone. Did you see the Diamond Jubilee Concert last night? It was really good and so glad the weather was better than the day before. I thought the Queen looked lovely.

For my card today I have used a rubber stamp by Santa Rosa that I have had for many years and I have  shown a card made from it before on my blog but I think she has to be one of my favourites.  I do like using some of my old stamps and think its a shame not to.  Having said that I still have lots of stamps I have never used!!  Anyway here she is:

I have coloured her with Copics and a touch of Prismas (I just realised that I forgot to add the hint of blue to the edges of her wings that I was going to lol).  The paper is by Bo Bunny from their Country Garden Collection. I have added a touch of Stickles to her dress and the edges of the image has been distressed with Shabby Shutters and Antique Linen DI. I have used Spellbinders Labels Die to cut the image out and Spellbinders Romantic Rectangles to edge the piece of DP on the side.  The butterflies have been cut with a Dienamics Die and then covered with Stickles.  The flowers are made with Cheery Lynn Build a Flower and have a metal brad in the centre.  Charm and ribbon are from my stash.

I would like to enter the following challenges:

Simon Says Stamp - Anything Goes
Fashionable Stamping - Mystical and Very Magical
Sunday Sketch and Stamp - Sketch
Crazy 4 Challenges - Add Butterflies
The Secret Crafter Saturday Challenge - Anything Goes
Sweet Stampin' - Favourite Stamp
A Gem of a Challenge - Photo Inspiration (I have used the butterflies and fairies)

Well that's it from me for today.  I have to do some more DT work today as I will be a bit busy the next couple of days.  Luckily the weather isn't up to much and everywhere will be busy with it being a BH so its a good excuse to lock myself up in my craft room!  Thanks for looking and take care xx
