Well hopefully I have arrived in Las Vegas and will be enjoying a few of these:
Yummmmm don't know which is my favourite may just have to try them all to find out lol!!
We have a new challenge at Card Makin' Mamas and the theme for this challenge is Thanksgiving or Thanks. We don't celebrate Thanksgiving here in the UK so I didn't really see the point in doing a Thanksgiving card so I have gone with the Thanks theme:
This cute image is from the Besties Set by Digi My World who are our sponsors this week. I have coloured the image with Copics and then cut it out and mounted it on foam dots. The papers are October Afternoon from the 9 til 5 Collection. The button is October Afternoon. I have cut the heart out and then embossed it. The flower is a Dienamics die and the computer generated sentiment has been cut with a Lil' Inkers banner die.
Please go over to Card Makin' Mamas see what the rest of the Design Team have created for some more inspiration. Just remember that we are a Card Making Challenge so we need to see your cards!!
Thanks for looking, take care xx

Let it Snow!
Good morning bloggers! Well I should now be on the way to the airport for my annual girly holiday to Las Vegas - whoop, whoop!! Today sees the start of a new challenge at Delightful Challenges and the theme this week i:
LET IT SNOW
We want to see your creations with Snowflakes on - very seasonal with Christmas fast approaching!! Here is what I have made:
I have used the super cute Flurry the Snowman which is available here from Digital Delights. Love that bird on his head! Don't forget all of Wendy's images are available either coloured or un-coloured whichever you prefer. I have used Copics to colour mine. I have used Coredinations cardstock, October Afternoon paper from the Holiday Style pad and some glitter card. Flurry has been cut and matted using Grand Nesties and I have coloured the background with some chalks. I have added a lot of Martha Stewart glitter to his clothes and the snow. The sentiment is from the A Touch of Christmas Sentiments set available here such brilliant value as you get 8 sentiments! The border die is a Spellbinders and I have used the fall out for my snowflakes - waste not want not!! I have put the sentiment on a Marianne die cut to look like a sign. The gems, ribbon and snowman charm are all from my stash.
Please go over to Delightful Challenges and see what the Design Team have done for some more inspiration. You don't have to use a Digital Delights image to enter but your entry will count twice if you do use one!
Well I will be on my way to
for our annual trip. We are staying at the Aria which is just a couple of years old, we like to try somewhere new each time, here's a picture:
Ooooh I'm so excited!! Thanks for looking and take care xx

Time for a Sketch!
Good morning everyone and yes I am still in Florida hopefully basking in the sunshine!! Today sees the start of a brand new challenge at Delightful and I am so excited because we have another sketch (I LOVE sketches) and its New Release Day - yippee!! So Wendy has given me this sweetie to work with:
Oh he is just too adorable!! Love him Wendy!!! I have coloured Nutcracker Kiddles with my Copics and cut and embossed him with my Nesties. Sorry I can't give the link because I am scheduling this before they have been released but pop over to Digital Delights here and you will see the new release on the front page. I just love sketches and this one is brilliant I am sure you will be seeing it again. The papers I have used are from Marianne Design called Let it Snow. I have used Wendy's sentiment which is from the Caroling Sentiments Set available here. I used my Grand Nestie Circles for the side parts of the card. The brad and ribbon are from my stash - actually the ribbon is from when I made my son and daughter in law's wedding invites.
Our sponsor this week is:
Joanna Sheen will be giving the lucky winner a £10 gift certificate for their on line store.
So please go over to Delightful Challenges and see the rest of the new releases and what the DT have done with them - believe me there are some fabulous creations. Please join in the fun of the challenge, you don't have to use a Digital Delight image but we love it if you do and you can count your entry twice then.
Thank you so much for looking, take care xx

Anything goes at CMM
Good morning bloggers hope you are ok and hopefully I am! We have a brand new challenge at Card Makin' Mamas and this is everyone's favourite: Anything Goes!! Here is my card -
I have gone for a CAS style. I have used a fab image from our sponsor's this week Squiggle Stamps which is called, aptly, Owlies. I have coloured the image with my Copics and also paper pieced the lower part of their bodies but it really doesn't show up that well! The papers are by Fancy Pants called Country Boutique. The image has been cut and matted using Spellbinders Nesties. The hearts and banner die and sentiment are from Lil' Inker Designs. I have packed this to give to my DH as it is our anniversary whilst we are on holiday.
Please pop over the Card Makin' Mamas Blog and see what the rest of the talented DT have made. Remember, we are a card making blog so we want to see your cards!!

Stitching Real or Faux
Good morning bloggers from sunny Florida!! Well actually I am here in Blackpool still but I am scheduling this so when you are reading it, if Mr Blogger behaves, I will be in Florida. Today sees the start of a brand new challenge at Delightful Challenges and the theme this week is:
STITCHING - REAL OR FAUX
Well my sewing machine is jammed and I really haven't had the time to sit down and find the on line manual to sort it out so I have added some faux stitching to my card:
I have used Joyful Jamie which is available to purchase here from Digital Delights. She has been coloured with Copics and glitter to her wings. I have cut her out with a SB Nestie and distressed the edges with Antique Linen DI. The papers are by Memory Box called Pixie and I have also used some glitter card from my fabulous 12 x 12 pad of glitter papers my daughter bought me last time we were in Florida together. The snowflakes and holly are all done with Spellbinders dies and the poinsettia is a Marianne die. The sentiment is from Wendy's Caroling Sentiments Set which is available to purchase here. The gem, lace and ric rak are from my stash.
Please pop over to Delightful Challenges and see what the rest of the Design Team have made for lots of inspiration. Remember you don't have to use a Digital Delights image to enter but we love it if you do and then you can enter it twice!!

Christmas Baubles
Good morning and happy weekend to you all! This is the last post I am doing before my holidays, I have scheduled all my DT cards for whilst we are away. Although we will have internet access and I am taking my I Pad I will not have time to comment whilst away so apologies for not coming round to see you all after today - I will look forward to catching up on all your lovely creations when I get back!
I have done a card for the Penny Black Saturday Challenge. I have not done a card for this challenge since it went to a monthly format but I saw such a pretty card on Lorraine's blog here which she had done for it and as it is a sketch I thought I just had to have a play!!
I have used the baubles image from the Penny Black A Bright Tomorrow set and the sentiment is from the Penny Black Merry and Bright Sentiment pack. I have coloured the image with Copics and cut and matted with Circle Nesties. The edge behind the image is actually border die - Spellbinders Ironworks - Debby showed how to do this on her blog A Scrapjourney. Oops just realised that picture is very wonky!! The papers are Nitwits Tapestry Christmas. The bell is a die from CC Designs and the sentiment is cut from a Spellbinder banner die.
I'll leave you with a picture of my favourite ride The Incredible Hulk at Islands of Adventure:
Thanks for looking, see you all in a couple of weeks and take care xxx

Tommy Hilfiger Christmas!
Good morning bloggers and a big welcome to my new followers - thank you so much for joining me! I have made a Christmas card for the Runway Inspired Challenge this week.
A fairly CAS type of card. I have used my Marianne die to make a poinsettia using Pink Petticoat digital paper. The sentiment is from Penny Black their Christmas Cheer Sentiments, it looks a bit pink in the picture but it isn't IRL! The button is from the Ribbon Girl. Here is the inspiration picture:
Wish I was lovely and tall like that!! I have used the colours and the stripes for my inspiration and also the button in the centre of the flower.
Well only two more sleeps til Florida!! I am getting so excited, can hardly wait. My brother moved to Florida last year from Chicago so we are going to see him whilst we are there. He has 6 children and I have only ever seen one of them when he was a tiny baby, the eldest is now 21 so it will be wonderful to see them!
Thanks for visiting today and a big thank you to my newest followers, take care xx
