The fab stamp set is from Darkroom Door Rubber Stamps called Dressmaker. I must say I was really impressed with the quality of the stamps. They come in a DVD type case with clear pictures of the images on the cover. The stamps themselves are lovely red rubber, deeply etched. Thirteen stamps in the set so, as you can see, I only used a few! When I got some Chanel for my birthday I knew I wanted to keep the ribbon to use and so I thought I would incorporate it into this card. I stamped the dressmaker form on black card with Brilliance ink and embossed with some white SeaFoam EP. I used Centura Pearl for the backing, half embossed with a sewing embossing folder and the other half I stamped the pattern stamp lightly with Memento London Fog in a random pattern. I stamped and embossed the cotton spool and cut it out, wrapping some crochet cotton around it. The sentiment, which hasn't been picked up very well by the camera is from Craftwork Cards.

My goodness...those photos of your grandchildren are so precious!
ReplyDeleteAnd...that sunset is beautiful.
Your card is so elegant. Brilliant idea to save and use that Chanel ribbon! Justy adds to that elegant feel.
I have some London Fog and must remember to use it as I have seen it on other blogs lately and now on yours...it does give such a lovely soft feel!
Beautiful card and hope your holidays were as wonderful as those darling pictures look!
PS The weather...thank goodness we are usposed to get a few drops of rain today...sometimes it is only 5 min though. It can climb to 42 here...even hotter in Kamloop where I spent most of yesterday shopping. I pray there are a few short sprinkles of rain over the weekend as it is POW WOW time in Kamloops and the Native Indian dancers dance all weekend in that brutal heat.
The city is hopping with all the dancers in town and all the tourists in for that and then also just the ordinary vacation regulars.
This is fabulous Susan. Love the image and design.
ReplyDeleteEnjoy the rest of your week.
Hugs Sharon. x
