Good morning to you all and I guess this is the first week of the year where everything returns to normal - whatever that is! I took our tree and decorations down on Saturday and blitzed the house yesterday so everywhere is bare - but clean!! I don't make New Year Resolutions as I can never keep them lol however Dave and I are doing something slightly different. At his last visit to his Oncologist in November the news was not good so he has had to have a CT and Bone Scan and we are going for the results in a few weeks. So we both decided to join in with Cancer Research January Dryathalon where you do not have any alcohol for the whole of January! I must admit I do love a glass of wine while I make our dinner, once I've had dinner I'm not in the least bit bothered about having another. We are not dwelling on what may lie ahead as it could be ages off yet so the most important thing is to get on with things and enjoy it whilst we can! And on that note I will have some very exciting news to share tomorrow!!
Today is the start of a new challenge at Lexi's Challenge the first one for 2014 and the theme is Anything Goes. Now I must admit I am not that happy with how my card turned out it wasn't how I imagined it but time is tight and I have to get on top of my DT commitments so I didn't have time to make another.
I used a Papermania stamp and die with ColorBox Ink. The papers are Meghan Mullens Here's The Story and Kraft card. I used a Craft Concepts Star Embossing Folder. The border is Dienamic Open Simply Scallops Trio. I cut the star out and mounted it on a foam square for a bit of dimension. Here is another view:
I used the sketch from Sketch Saturday for the layout. Our sponsor this week is:
Challenges I would like to enter:
Sketch Saturday - Sketch
Please go over to the challenge at Lexis to see the rest of the DT projects. Thank you so much for looking today and any comments you may leave - hopefully I will see you again tomorrow! Take care xx
