Good morning well that's another Bank Holiday been and gone. It turned out a real washout here in Blackpool in the end. Got some spring cleaning done which is good but now my blooming back is bad lol!!
For today's card I have used something new, can you tell what it is I wonder?
Mmmm still no idea - want a hint? Here you are then:
I have had these on order for ages and finally got them the other week and finally used them! Although I have only used a couple of colours in my picture and I have to say the jury is still out! I stamped the Hero Arts image on to Crafter's Companion Watercolour Paper and then used the Distress Markers and a water brush to colour. The paper is Prima from the Melody pad. I have used Spellbinders to cut and mat - Ironworks Accents and also used them for the little tabs. The sentiment is a Whimsy stamp and die and I used Adirondack Expresso ink to stamp the sentiment. Flower is WOC and ribbon and gold gems from stash. I need to have a serious play with them but time is a bit precious at the moment. We have some friends coming from Texas this week so I have been trying to make some cards so I will have something to blog which means I really haven't had time to try something new out.
I would like to enter the following challenges:
Simon Says Stamp - Birthday
Creative Craft Challenge - Anything Goes
Paper and Such - May Flowers
Crafty Boots - Yellow
Victorine Stamps - Flowers
Well that's it for me for today, thanks for visiting and any comments you have kindly left, take care xx

Love it Susan, the paper is elegant and your beautifully coloured image co-ordinates with it perfectly. I am still resisting these pens as I am rubbish at water colouring, so will be interested to see what you have to say when the jury is in.

ReplyDeleteA lovely card Susan. Great backing paper and colour matching. Have to admit to not wanting the distress pens. I bought Aquamarkers a year ago and have yet to used them Just sold 110 Spectrum Noirs on ebay as I found the tops on many too hard to get off.
ReplyDeleteNow quite happy with the full set of Promarkers and all the different Flexmarkers.
Sorry to rabbit on my brain is still in a bug induced stew.
Have a great time with your friends from Texas, lol, I used to live there for a year many years ago.
