Hot Chocolate Anyone?

Well here we are at the last day of November I really can't believe it! I have put my Christmas tree up in the lounge and I must say it looks so pretty - all lilac and cream.  We get a real one for the conservatory and that is done in traditional colours of red and gold but that will wait a few weeks - don't want it dropping before Christmas!  Tomorrow I am off to Manchester by train with my daughter and Rowan to hopefully get some more Christmas shopping done but I don't seem to get much done when I am with them - too much distraction lol!

I have  a card today to share that is made with one of Beccy's November releases called Finn's Hot Chocolate and he is available here.

I coloured Finn with my Copics and the papers are Nitwits.  I used Spellbinders Grand Nesties for the card shape and mats.  The sentiment comes with the set and I used Dienamics Fishtail Stax to cut that out.  I cut the mug of cocoa and marshmallows out using CC Cutter die and added some Stickles to the marshmallows.  Ribbon and heart from my stash.

Challenges I would like to enter:

Simon Wednesday Challenge - Anything Goes
Inkspirational Challenge - Christmas Optional No Red or Green
Crafty Ribbons - Animals at Christmas + Ribbon

Thank you so much for looking and the lovely comments you leave.

Wreath from Down Under

Hello and a big Happy Monday to you, I hope you had a wonderful weekend. All has returned to peace and tranquility now as my lovely Grandsons and Son have gone back to London.  We had a lovely time on Saturday at the lunch and party for my Daughter's fortieth birthday.  I am off to the Trafford Centre today with my daughter to do some Christmas shopping.

Today I have a card I made with one of Beccy's fab new designs for Christmas.  It is using the Aussie Wreath Set and I must admit to using a bit of poetic license for the colouring as I wasn't too sure on what colours the flowers would be.

The image comes in a set which is available at Beccy's here.  I coloured it with my Copics and then cut it out with a SB Circle die.  Behind the image I used Snowflake Wreath from Joycrafts.  The papers are quite old - HOTP.  The border is La La Land Lattice border and I used Viva Decor Pearls on the image, snowflake wreath and lattice border. The sentiment is Clearly Besotted.

Thank you so much for looking today and I hope you have a wonderful week!

A Card For A Child

Happy Wednesday to you all. All has returned to normal here with Rowan going home on Monday and the dogs returning home Saturday.  Lack of sleep was a big factor - four nights without sleep was a lot even for me!! My sister's eldest dog barked quite a lot if he wasn't with me and as I had to have Rowan in with me for feeding it got quite noisy at nights! I thought if Dave slept with them in the spare room things would be ok but it was not to be.  Rowan has baby eczema so I had to keep the dogs away from him as much as possible.  Rowan also had two bad nights too with his eczema bothering him.  Its such a shame because he never cries and is always so happy if wasn't for the eczema.  Anyway I loved having him here it was lovely and now everything seems very quiet.

Today is my daughter's fortieth birthday - Happy Birthday sweetie!! She doesn't really look at my blog that often, too busy with other things.  We are having a family celebration on Saturday and my Son and two Grandsons are coming up on Friday for the weekend so lots more chaos planned!!

Today sees the start of a new challenge at The Paper Shelter and the theme this week is A Card for A Child.  Well I have actually had to buy cards lately as I didn't have suitable ones (i.e. my Daughter's fortieth, Dave's Seventieth and our Anniversary) so I decided to make a card for Max who is 8 next month.  As the card was for Max there was only one image I could use:

Max is a real games enthusiast so I just had to use this image for him.  The image is Mad About Video Games available here. I coloured him in with my Copics and used Dienamics Pierced Rectangle Stax to cut him out.  The papers are MME Fly A Kite.  The border is Spellbinders Edgeabilities Classic Scallop and the Star Festoon is Whiff of Joy.  The 8 was made with Dienamics By the Numbers and Max was made with Sizzix Typeset Alphabet.

As usual, there is a fabulous prize for the lucky winner:

Please have a look at the rest of the DT's work at The Paper Shelter and for all the details.

I am scheduling this post as I am off to Manchester on the train with a friend for some shopping and lunch, no doubt champagne will be involved too - I think I have earned it!! Thank you so much for looking and your kind comments, take care xx

I printed the sentiment out on my PC fading the colour.  Paper is Pink Petticoat and I used a Dienamic die for the edge of the mat. Finished with some twine and a button - simples!

New Release at Digital Delights

Hello there and a happy Thursday to you all.  Here in the U.K. we celebrated Guy Fawkes night last night so loads of fireworks were going off everywhere and I could smell burning everywhere in the house although I couldn't see anyone with a bonfire close by! Luckily, our cat is stone deaf!!

Over at Digital Delights we have a new release today!! I have used the super cute Gingerbread Patchy for my card:

Isn't he cute in his little Gingerbread outfit? You can get Gingerbread Patchy here.  The sentiment is from the Christmas Hugs set which is available here.  I used papers from Wendy's Christmas Lights Set which is available here.  I coloured Patchy with my Copics although I think I have made the gingerbread part a bit too orange, must have been still in Halloween mode lol.  I used Spellbinders Ovals and Beaded Ovals to cut and mat the image.  Memory Box Precious Ornaments, Marianne Trees, Dienamics Fishtail Stax and Cheery Lynn Horizon Fishtail Banners. The embossing on the Centura Pearl card was done with a Embossalicious embossing folder.  I added some Stickles to the tree.

Lets See Your Ribbon

Wow the first of November I seem to have lost several months along the way!  I have to take down my Halloween decorations today and I have already started planning my Christmas ones!  I had a lovely time with my daughter and Rowan she stayed an extra day so didn't go home until yesterday afternoon.

As it is the first of the month I have two DT cards to show you today, this is the first and I will be back shortly with my next one.  This is my card for Buckwell's Crafty Challenge and it is our second challenge so if you haven't joined in yet please head over here to the challenge.

I have used a lovely image from our sponsor this month A Lil Digi Heaven called Rock A By. I coloured her with my Copics and added some Chunky White Frantage.  I cut the image out with my Dienamics Oval Stax and matted her onto Spellbinders Floral Ovals.  The papers are scraps laying on my worktop and are probably Nitwits.  The corners were made using a Joycraft die and the banner is a Whiff of Joy die.  The sentiment was also lying around on my worktop I am pretty sure its Pink Petticoat, I cut it out with a Spellbinders Ribbon Banner and inked it whilst it was in the die with Spun Sugar DI.  The heart is made with air dried clay and a mould and I used some gilding wax on it.  The beautiful ribbon is from Buckwell Crafts Supplies.

A Lil Digi Heaven is offering the winner 3 digis from their shop.

The second random winner will win some ribbon from Buckwell Craft Supplies

Over at Buckwell Craft Supplies the dies have been reduced plus you get an extra 10% off from 1st November until 8th November
